  1. hey all been having trouble with my s2 R33 gtst, idling low at around 550-700rpm and generally sounding a bit off. Checked the throttle sensor readings on consult and when I set it to 0.4 volts closed throttle, the closed throttle switch shows as off (as in, reads as the throttle is open), and it also idles wayy too high, 1200-1600rpm. To get the closed throttle switch to show as on (throttle closed) i can only get the throttle sensor to read around 0.2 volts, and then it idles low/rough. Thought it might have been a faulty tps but have put a brand new one in, and has exactly the same issue. This was happening ages back on and off but hadn't had it for a while, now is like it all the time. I also noted when playing around with the tps adjustment (ignition on, engine off), when the throttle position sensor is turned between approx 1/3-2/3 open it makes something in the area underneath the intake manifold towards the rear of the engine start buzzing (like a solenoid clicking but heaps faster). It does not make this noise in first 1/3 or so of throttle opening, or when throttle is almost fully open. Not sure if this is normal, or related to the crappy idle issue? I have searched on here and googled away on it but can't find the answer, only alot of posts about what voltage the tps should be reading at closed and full throttle....nothing really about the closed throttle switch readings or what might be causing the problems. Open to ideas n suggestions about this, thanks!
  2. Removing heater hoses wil give judt cold air. Did it on my r33, seems a/c mixes hot/cold to regulate temp so just cold will give exactly that.
  3. I use a sawn-off and a black ski mask....oh wait....wrong sort of car jacking. Most misleading thread title ever... but while I'm here, I use that spot but with something in between to spread the load out a bit.
  4. thanks for that. Just heard back from a stockist the sr20 one (for s14 and s15's) is also a 10mm, so looks to be exactly the same size, and also used on a few other engines.
  5. Thanks, i know the grommets are the same, just trying to confirm the pcv valve is same for rb25 and sr20
  6. pcv valve on my rb25det is leaking under boost, and grommet looks pretty old too. Having trouble finding info about part numbers or anything in stock at parts stores - anyone know if the s14 and 15 sr20 PCV's are interchangeable with the rb25? they look the same, and has been confirmed they use the same grommet part number so the rocker side would be same size, just want to know if the manifold hose fitting is a 10mm barb, same as the rb25 thanks
  7. i saw that too, thinking I might grab one of the rpm models.
  8. no worries bro, i'm here for the people..
  9. If u want to pm me yr address, can burn a cd and post it to u
  10. yeah i have a couple of versions of it, not sure how i can send it to you though? whereabouts are you?
  11. $150 posted anywhere in Aus, or $140 pickup.
  12. while this looks cool sitting on the kitchen floor of my flat, it's not much use there....now $150 posted to anywhere in Aus
  13. can also include a voucher for a free key-cut at New Farm Hardware if required.
  14. ahhhhaa dude..I just googled it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Perfect_Weapon it truly sounds like a piece of cinematically awful history, just my type. Unfortunately safc2 long since sold, but will trade you "Remo - Unarmed and Dangerous" for "Police Academy 7 - Mission to Moscow" if you have it lol
  15. Split-style stainless steel dump pipe for sale, to suit R33Gtst stock turbo and possibly others, R32? Used for exactly 752 km's ( I keep a log book of my works lol). The good bits - it's in brand new cond having done less than 1000k's, the turbine outlet has been perfectly port-matched and smoothed to maximise efficient flow, and the wastegate outlet has been bellmouthed and rounded to ensure no rough edges or angles and ensure smooth funnelling of exhaust gasses (yes I have time on my hands which is why I bother with the attention to detail). See pics. The bad bit - the exhaust temp sensor thread seized while trying to unscrew it so is stuck in there, but, it's an NGK/NTK sensor which has done 14,867k's (log book again) over about 19 months, bought new from Kudos Motorsports, so plenty of life left in it...so even that's a good bit, of sorts. Reason for sale; like most people on here, have read about 27,000 posts on "spilt dump vs bellmouth" and so bought this, then a JJR bellmouth just recently when they got them back in stock, to test for myself. Put the bellmouth on this weekend, and seems like there's not much/any difference between the two, and the other is already on the car, so....up for sale. Located in Brisbane so pickup preferred, but can post auswide as required. $160 with the O2 sensor, and new turbo/cat gaskets included. Check my previous sales posts, check my profile feedback, I sell good stuff at good prices, never had an unhappy customer. PM's welcome.

  18. I would still go shipping for 1600. Add up fuel, permit fees, accommodation, chance of breakdowns or accident on way. Althouh it is a great drive and who doesnt love a road trip. But financially wise, yeh i would ship it
  19. have heard stainless is not good on exhaust connections, tends to gall. Hi tensile loses it's hi tensile-ness too once heated, just new steel bolts and nuts with a burred flange head will be fine. Definitely change the studs on exhaust manifold, as said by others, if some not already broken then soon will, replace with new.
  20. R34 turbo sold. Injectors, R33 turbo, R33smic still available
  21. r32 actuator looks different, easy to spot if it is one. google image it. basically fairly big diaphragm and straight nipple off the side, not angled
  22. oh and r34 side mount sold, r33 one still available.
  23. Have I gone mad? Quite possibly...but crazy low prices have arrived injectors $40 the set, $50 for the r33 turbo, $200 for the r34 turbo
