  1. Understood, but hey, if you're spending 250, its not much of a step to 300.
  2. Confuses me why they wouldn't base it on the Ten (X). By most accounts, the X is a better "thing".
  3. Shit's gettin outa control.
  4. Could well be somethin wrong with it, but as I said, I am happy to take a look at this 33GTR, and I know boats.
  5. Yeah don't worry about paint, just drag the big fat thing along the pit wall and rub it off
  6. Dad of the year mate, nice one!
  7. Wing DEFINATELY works, no two ways about it. First few runs of the day I had the wing set to maximum angle and was getting understeer under the bridge, much Much worse than I normally would with the GTR wing and Nismo boot lip. i did at least 50 laps in this config to make sure it wasn't just new tyres. The rear was much more planted, even exiting the 3rd gear camber change Hungry corner (the uphill left hander that I usually struggle at for power down traction due to the unusual road profile.). On following runs I backed the wing off to 50% and the rear was still planted nicely, but the understeer reduced quite a bit, showing me the wing definatley works. In fact, next project (after replacing the broken engine), is to make up a removable splitter to attach to my existing front sump gaurd/undertray, which will end up much like the alloy one on the Pulse Evo. Hopefully with front splitter I will be able to dial in more rear wing and drive upside down in tunnels. It is also probably worth mentioning that I couldn't see any measurable difference in top speed on the straight/into the kink (215klm/h or so). This is the only pic I can find of the actual wing (at auction on the car I took it off).
  8. Looking out the back of my 32 GTS-t at Lakeside;
  9. Here ya go Dan, I'm on the ball. Colour is putrid, but hey, got some stuff! Can look at for ya if you like (and are serious). http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...le-t333292.html
  10. Cool car no doubt, but could you imagine actually owning, trying to find bits for it! LOL I can see it now, setting the alarm for 3am to call a French guy to ask him how much for areplacement whatsit.... "HOW FARKIN MUCH?!?!?!?!"
  11. lol, you'll never be able to stick to a budget
  12. Indeed! Set of SVO heads and a cam and she'd really lift her skirts
  13. Yeah, I think a lot of cars get more powah as they age? Can be the only explanation
  14. Oz delivered SW20 MR2's were quoted at 117KW (flywheel). I remember this beause it was the same as quoted for my KF Laser Turbo/4WD.
  15. But bro, they're no good. Well, at least in comparison to many other cars available. For an example of what you can build with a bit of nouse; We recently paid 3k for a stock but tidy (but faded in parts red) EL XR8 Manual. It was recently sold (at a nice profit) for 8k with; Dyno tune/reflash/injector clean/new fuel pump. Extractors/exhaust/cold air intake Half cage JJR Race seats 2nd hand series II 350Z alloys Stripped interior Upgraded shocks, springs and bars similar to saloon cars (stiffer front springs of course) 4 piston 330mm front brake upgrade, freshened rear. Tightened LSD New Kuhmo 235 KU36's. Now that, is value well, I reckon anyway, plus it sounded the part.
  16. Me too, but will never happen unless you have a serious profile and/or a serious car (along with the large investment that entails) A discount is about the best that will happen, and from what I hear the percentage of discount is in direct relation to the depth you can deepthroat, combined with how many teeth you are prepared to remove to make it more satisfying for the tyre wholesaler.......
  17. I grew up on a high revving diet of stroked and LSD equiped 1991 Swift Gti, so i do have a serious soft spot for the FWD stuff. A good one can really open your eyes
  18. Yes, if you were to start considering FWD cars it really does open up a whole new ballgame. A fellow is often out at Lakeside in a Clio and punts it around quite well, even if it does look frighteningly loose under brake in one particular spot. Another guys turn up in his 2004 Corrolla Sportivo (the High rev Celica powered version), and is very quick, doing flat 60's I believe, which is quick quick. Typically the FWD stuff will excel on tracks where the aim is to keep the average speed up, they fall down when asked to accelerate out of tighter corners (typically lacking torque and fancy diff)
  19. Ditto that. And believe me, every little bit helps. Thanks to; Brij's Auto Jack Beedham's Exhaust and Brake Centre Birubi Art Just Jap RGM Motorsport Hi Octane Racing Tarmac Magazine lol
  20. We've proven with the St185 GT4 we have that the 3SGTE is (unless mega-dollar specced), is a wart of an engine. The things have more oil control issues than the king of oil control issues, the RB26. A willing engine, but pale beside the might of a 200,000klm RB20. The 3S doesn't rev, doesn't go, and in an MR2, is just plain slow due to appalling untrustworthy handling. Can you tell I'm a fan? At least the St185 GT4 doesn't try to kill you, but neither is it fast, as even our lightened and stripped one verifies, they really are a heavy pig of a thing. AND, it looks like a Corgi lying on its back.
  21. I live in Brisbane, so ummm, no, no DECA for me.
  22. And the vice-versa of what Paul says too. ^^^ Biggest thing to remember is, the notes make sense because they do the job correctly when written correctly. Eg. If your wife reads you a page of notes at the dinner table, you should be able to close your eyes and imagine that ribbon of road. The 3rd dimension not often spoken about is the timing of calls. Every driver is different, some can remember a kay ahead, some can't. Some want the calls constantly repeated, some don't. Personally, I particularly like the way Tony Sullens and Julia Rabbite call their notes, it suits me, and that is how Timmy times them when he calls for me. Watch footage over and over and over again, and you'll get the drift
  23. Get PHat MR30 to explain it to ya, I tought him half of what I know, he goes alright
  24. I was 250 words into a cracking description for you, but my new keyboard gargles farking balls and I somehow tabbed and lost it all. I could explain it ll in ten minutes in person, but it will take days using text! LOL
  25. "Wholly fark flat over crest yes it's flat you carnt 650 to flat crest BRAKE eighty turn right two"...... is always a beauty
