  1. lol, yeah well it is chipped and can exceed 200klm/h with a 214ft van on the back. Not bad for a rattly diesel I guess. Ask him how much oil it uses.
  2. I dunno Sav. I had 800 down since April toward TT2011 and asked them to shift it over towards THC. Now I need to ask Helen to shift it back again! LOL I'm determined to do TT2011. Tim said he's locked in with me, time will tell I guess, knew I shouldn't have taught him so well
  3. I'm OUT! David Smokespole can't even find the time to call me back, so yeah, I've lost interest. I'm going boating and drinking with Giant instead
  4. Yeah Russell's Landcruiser would be the hot ticket for that
  5. Local absolutely, and preferably a private sale. I couldn't spend 34 GTR money on a car I couldn't feel and touch and thoroughly inspect. Ones that have been owned here are typically better cars because all the little bugs have typically been ironed out.
  6. Nice work you Giant sack-of-..... oh never mind.
  7. 3 to 4kg mate. One kg of block to do vertical surfaces a little easier.
  8. It all comes down to the weight of your car. I run GTR Brembos all round. 2 piece alloy hat DBA5000 rotors up front and slotted rotors down back. We use Ferodo DS3000 pads all round and Castrol R synthetic fluid with Goodrich stainless steel braid lines all round. Master cyl is matching GTR. No booster is used. Pedal ratio altered from 4:1 to 6:1. My car weighs around 1250 with me or fuel. I couldn't ask for better brakes. Circuit sprints/Targa Tasmania, street sprints, whatever, its a fantacstic combo. I use them hard, very hard, but the rotor's peak temperature is perfect, right within the Orange range on the heat paint on the rotor. I drag the brakes a little on the warmup lap to obtain good temps, but also find it stops just fine when I'm not given the opportunity, say, a street sprint or hillclimb. Highly recommended if your car is around that weight.
  9. Catchy's missus saying in the background of our phone conversation, "remember David, you have a family now!" has kind of taken the sheen off it for me to be frank. I like to have a crack, not just drive around, and to have that shit hanging over my head sucks a thick one.
  10. Yeah I have 19x10.5 +15 on mine and really need to reduce the camber to make them just "right". I have about 3 degrees rear and they look a little sunken. The 34 GTR has a wider track in the rear from factory, which is contrary to most other cars, incl 32/33 GTRs, and I personally wouldn't want to make the rear track any wider than it is in relation to the front, to do so could end up with quite an evil handler that would be fairly willing to swap ends once sideways.
  11. ^^^ Bloody hell! That Keys wheel could be the best thing in the world and suck you off for all I care, but no way could I look at it all day! I'd want them to come to the party with a serious sponsorship package to warrant a bloody logo of that size inside my car!
  12. Serious decisions to be made..... Tugga High Country, or a week in the Whitsundays on a 54' self-drive powerboat. LOL (amazing how 6hrs can throw so many curve balls at you!)
  13. I heard they're not allowing strokers and sequentials in.... shock horror! LOL
  14. A wristy? What you talkin 'bout Willis?
  15. I still haven't locked in a bloody Nav! I'm keen to have David Catchpole sit beside me, he just needs to slip it past the Bride. He's a great mate, a serious laugh (is one of the original Taswegians), loves a beer, and is a fantastic driver. Has never navvied though, so if we put this crew together, we'll be there for the laugh mainly and to rip some rubber off the thing

    Check Your Nuts

    You're a sick, sick man
  17. Just bolt another wrecker RB20 in it mate. Dont go fawkin around with shitty 25's, its just not worth the hassle. Get a good 2nd hand 20, plug it in, full service (incl cam belt), and get it tuned well (assuming you have an ECU?), and you'll be sweet.
  18. I had mine bead blasted and 2-packed eight years ago. They are still as good as the day we did them.
