  1. I entered two months ago, and now of course my engine went Pop! The pressure is on! lol
  2. Great stuff Mark! I'm looking forward to receiving mine, and I know Roy ordered one yesterday for delivery to Europe for his and Beer Baron's executive tour of Euro race tracks... the poor bastards! Another mate, Aaron, ordered one yesterday, says it will be usefull for his circuit car/enduro bike, and his snow ski trip next week. I reckon this system value is second to none.
  3. It's the best, if you're looking for a bolt on solution. However, I maintain that you could obtain a better result by utilizing some home grown talent, such as Dave across the road from me, who hand engineered Berry's stuff, and is currently doing another well known time attack car, most recent item being a complete chrome molly rear subframe etc, altering and improving everything, a work of art. Price? Under 2k.
  4. Understood and agree, if you wanna spend the money and enjoy owning fancy bits, that's fine and dandy But, we're talking about going fast for buck here aren't we?
  5. Fkn brand names again. Listen to risking, 5k will get you a shitload of custom stuff made here. Aussies have the tech and know how, and can do much better for that money.
  6. How many words per minute ya doin these days Baron, 200? Do you make good coffee too? Short skirts? Loose blouse?
  7. Boostcruising is your freind Nick. Thats where we got the last one, absolute bargain. Lotsa despos! lol
  8. Exactly, and of course, you add power, meaning you need bigger brakes, which add weight, not to mention you also need to brake earlier. Then of course the weight means less corner speed, so then you add more power to make up for the downfall.... and so on and so forth, until you have a 600hp weapon with massive brakes that is no quicker around a circuit than a lighter car with 300hp, but it IS a lot more demanding on costs to run.
  9. ^^^ Never has a truer word been spoken.
  10. haha, thanks DJ.... I'm in the same boat as Richard, I used to read about those things in my youth, and dream of owning one of my very own! I'm steering clear though, as i reckon with many things from my dreamy youth, the reality doesn't match the dream. My year 10 Drama teacher being one notable exception
  11. Berry's 3.0L in the 34 was awesome with -5's on it. Add E85 and it'd be even better.
  12. No you can't take it off. The turbo is welded to the manifold, and the manifold is welded to the head, and the head, it's welded to the block, and of course, the block is welded to the body. So, you'll need to just buy a non turbo version Cheeeyaaaamp.
  13. Thank you They're such a beautiful wheel, and I love the fact that they're "Special Order POA" in this size
  14. I'm glad it's not just me seeing this morph from a "suspension and aero(WTF?) upgrade" to talk of fancy stuff incl titanium! Lol
  15. Walk away, Renee.
  16. Word of mouth at this stage mate, will need to investigate further.
  17. Dan...... you're kiddin me right? ADHD or Crack?
  18. Here is one on an 8" rim. You can also see the wear indicators clearly. They're virtually new. They DO typically come looking a bit grubby due to rubber pickup on the "tread" face, but don't let that worry you. The indicator shows the true depth. And here is the "dunlop" and "japanese text" on the sidewall (look closely)
  19. Gimme a bit, I'll post a pic of one on my 8" rim ya tossa.
  20. I placed them beside both 235/45/17 Kuhmo KU36 road tyre and Dunlop O3G road/race tyre and they are virtually itendical in width, so they are a 'big" 215. I make no promised re the suitability to 9" rim. This Dunlop slick has no info other than "Dunlop" and a big bunch of Japanese text. I suspect they are imported specifically for the Mini Challenge.
  21. Talk to Troy. No secrets here mate. I run them on an 8" rim and they're not at all stretchy.
  22. I've used the Mini ones for 270klm at Lakeside so far (at 10/10ths), and the worst of the four is maybe one third worn. They were virtually new (maybe 5/6 laps) when I got them and they cost me $100 each plus some freight to me from Melbourne. I since found I can get in Bris for $75 each. LOL Dan, two sets of wheels means you drive to the track and bolt on the second set that were in the boot and back seat with proper race tyres, slicks even. IMO you are over-wheeled with 9 inch rims on that car. The Mini Challenge tyres are Dunlops, size is 215/45/17, but I measured them because they looked so much bigger, and turns out they are nearly identical in size and width to my Dunlop and Kuhmo 235/45/17's.
  23. Why not have a 2nd set of wheels and 2nd hand slicks? I'm using ex Mini Challenge slicks and they're pretty good for a hundy each.
