  1. I got the full brembo seal kit for the fronts from Nissan for about $70 - Must be an error in pricing but i wasn't going to say anything... Original brembo packaging inside and all. Project Mu for 960 isn't bad, but since we already have the DBA5000's, a replacement pair of discs (not hats) are only about 400 a pair... Can't find the price for replacement discs only for Project Mu.... And i really haven't had any trouble with DBA yet.... some people seam to love them some people seem to hate them... I wonder if the Project Mu disc would fit a DBA5000 hat.....
  2. Yeah that happened when i ran out of pads, but the brake pedal was hitting the ground before i ran out of pads, and then just to throw something else in, the pads fell apart under the extreme heat and i ended up metal on metal Then i had to drive home 2 hours like that... that was interesting... it was mostly highway driving at least... You have a fair bit more power than me Peter... I really think you'll struggle to keep stock brakes with that kind of power... But cooling/ducting will help no matter what brake setup you have. And I guess the good thing for me is that if you can make your stock brake setup work then i should have no troubles with my measly 300kw.... I really don't know how you're getting more than one or two laps without running the pedal hitting the floor... Do you still have the stone shields? I think that was probably the biggest difference to me (that and a master cyl stopper).
  3. Yeah i agree with Snowy - you've done a couple of DECAs - come do a PI instead of the next Deca. It's worth it.
  4. Why did you buy a R33 Gareth?
  5. How much power do you have mac? I'm running about 300rwkw on RE55s. I have a similar setup to you... Stock Brembos on my R33 GTR, DBA5000 rotors, RBF600 Fluid, DS3000 pads, removed stone shields, Braided lines. I killed my brakes when i was running DBA4000, Stock lines, RBF600, RB74 pads, still had stone shields on at Winton a while ago http://ferni.net/photos/Cars/0607_Killed_m...akes_at_Winton/ You can see i turned my Brembo sticker orange like T04GTR said above.... what does this mean exactly? I have a rebuild kit ready to go through but haven't got around to having it done yet. After that i changed to the DBA5000s/DS3000s/braided lines, removed stone shields and have done Sandown and PI since, and it seems to be ok - but i only do 3-4 laps in a session, not 7.... I don't think it would last that long. I'm trying to get John@UAS to make some ducts/deflectors for R33 GTR which i think will help a lot. I found out the other day that Vspecs have some stock brake deflectors (smallish) and non-vspec don't.... Email him tell him you want some as well, the more people that do the more likely he will be to make some
  6. Pitty the sound is so bad on the video can't hear the engines/tyres working.
  7. Just floor it in first, or launch it hard and it will kick in
  8. Just imagine throwing it around the skid pan with the spinners going off you'd look so cool!! haha
  9. Yeah that's probably it, pretty normal, reverse, brake and you hit a bit of a knock the first time as the pad gets pushed up rather than down. No big deal.
  10. Did someone say RE30's
  11. I bags a spot on Rays trailer! Quick go build it
  12. Yeah i was there as well.. not a bad game, but nothing special. Aussies lacked crossing the ball into the box, they couldn't get to anyone in the box... And a big ..|.. to Messi's dive in the first, half, take 3 steps then fall over... knob! But his shot that hit the post in the first half was pretty decent, unlucky to stay out. Bresciano had a couple of great free kicks that were on target and challenged the keeper.
  13. Yeah i need my rims taken up as well... i don't like putting them in the back of my car.
  14. Leewah I have my old original Series 1 front lip if it helps you, its in average condition... bit of paint and it would probably look ok
  15. Not sure who you're talking about, but I've had Tint-a-car do my last couple of cars, and they've been good, even when my old car was broken into they replaced the tint for free on that window... But of course they are Franchises so could be hit and miss depending on which one you go to. Sounds pretty unreasonable what you experienced. Take it further, make a point.
  16. Chris has broken his front diff... ouch.. think they are heading back to melbourne tonight to try to get it fixed before tomorrow. Snowy and Blaise seem to be doing very well... Dutton need to update their results quicker!!
  17. Cubes probably knows more than me, but i wouldn't run non-stock AFM's without a tune...
  18. It can depend on many things. How hot it is outside, how hard your driving, if you have an oil cooler etc... Daily driving i get around 80-90... on hot hot days even 95-100... Around the track i've had it up to 130..... which is where i start to ease off.....
  19. I was expecting closer to 150k, but these prices seem much more reasonable. But 35k difference between the 2 models seems a bit extreme? Wonder what the differences are.
  20. Its all to do with your connection, and your ISP, not what state you are in
  21. Looking tough with the black rims snowy!!
  22. Yeah saw that the other day... makes baby jesus cry. Most of those small fire extinguishers in cars last for about 5 seconds and won't do much ... but better than nothing.
  23. Yeah no way the new GTR will do 7.15... its aiming for the 911 Turbo which would be a touch slower than the 997 GT2.... Regardless, anywhere near the 7:30 is farken quick. That R33 GTR in that video must of been stock, how slow does it accelerate!!!
  24. Steve - Snowy is at dutton... PI is only about an hour away from our places out south east... so we can drive. But for a 2 day event could hire out a holiday house.... They've done it before....
  25. If you can work from anywhere and you just want a nice bit of land and house for your dogs - then why not consider something further away? Out country, or up in the hills somewhere..... just another idea.
