  1. I don't know about the non airbag version, but the airbag version of the R33 wheel is pretty straight forward, just take the airbag out (you don't need to disconnect the airbag so no need to worry)... and you'll see the weight right there, big phillips head screw driver on 2 screws and its out, fix it and put it back or leave it out.
  2. Well thats up to you Nick you can always just let off down the straight, but if you stay flat i'm sure you'll be well over the 180 limit.
  3. Depends if you want to be with faster or slower cars Nick. I think you'll struggle to break 2mins on your first day there... I think you should aim for somewhere between 2:00 and 2:10....
  4. I think this is a good idea, however i think it should be a 'strongly suggested' thing, rather than forced. Perhaps a passenger lap in the instructors car could give the same idea on lines/braking points, but being a different car, the speeds/braking points will be a bit different. I learned a lot from letting a trainer drive my car at my first PI sprint, showed me that my car was capable of going much faster than i was, made me feel more comfortable. But like Chris said, if you're not comfortable with the WRX rules if they want to force this, you always have the option of doing Driver Training somewhere else before coming to WRX club.
  5. Thanks Gary, still waiting for photos of some ducting on your cars
  6. There you go Troy, get Duncans and let me know how you go
  7. My opinion only... As much castor as you get wind in. -2 to -2.5 front camber -1.5 rear camber. Maybe a couple of mm toe out at the rear...
  8. Ahahah maybe if somoene had a spare 9k they wanted to donate, otherwise my poor little brembos get it!
  9. email it to yourself and leave it in your inbox, or put it in your phone
  10. Gunmetal is the new bronze. Bronze is so 2004
  11. Thats good to know that 365 with alcons fit under the R34 GTR rims...
  12. What size rotor are you running under your R34 GTR rims?
  13. I guess not since a bunch of us run it for track days and daily driving and i'm yet to see any oil related issues - ie big ends etc....
  14. I've got the XDA2 just a bigger version of yours, but am with optus. Quick google around gave me this link for you: http://www.mtekk.com.au/Forums/tabid/56/po...ic/Default.aspx Should be very similar for you, basically all you need is a GPRS connection for the MMS program to connect to, with your access point name as VirginMMS Then in your MMS program, create a new server with the settings: http://mms.virginvibe.com.au:8002/ 202.139.083.152 port 8070 And that should work. You can send yourself a test mms and you should get it to make sure its working.
  15. No idea about the Q8 stuff, but most of the track regulars use the Castrol 10w-60 stuff, stock to highly modified. Can't go wrong.
  16. Better to have reliability issues with a modified car rather than a standard car, *cough* gearbox *cough*.... But the plenty of fast cars to drive soon, i don't have a comeback for that... i'll go back to my corner.
  17. You technically have coilovers standard. The shocks sit inside the springs, the spring sits on the shock.... Street suspension - there is lots of 2nd hand stuff going around, or if you want to buy new check out Sydneykids groupbuy on bilstein/whiteline stuff...
  18. yep they have garret stamped on them.
  19. You could run a larger rotor with stock brembos, but there would be a bit of stuffing around with brackets and the like to get them to work. If someone came up with an easy(and cheap) way to fit bigger discs to stock brembos i'd defiantly consider it. I think the biggest improvement comes from the bigger disc, the bigger caliper/pad probably plays a small part in dissipating heat as well. I agree with what Troy has said above. But i don't know shit.
  20. They are the same between vspec and non vspec.
  21. Good question, i'm interested in ducting as well..... and what people have done.
  22. We do much more than 230 on the track. PI Sees well over 250 down the straight... Even at Calder Jack (JAGR33) was breaking 250 down the straight. Don't forget you're not starting from a stand still. You're coming onto the straight at around 180 give or take at PI....
  23. How good is the GTR Evolution looking! Fark me, first one i'll say looks better than the R34 GTR .
  24. Steering wheel not centered when driving straight is usually the alignment place adjusted your toe settings without centering your steering wheel... The shaking of the steering wheel when going above 80 sounds like a bad balance - maybe some weights came off? You could also try removing the spacers to make sure they aren't causing any issue, a lot of balancing/alignment places don't like them, because they can cause issues like your seeing Otherwise, take it back i guess? Get them to take it for a drive and show them the issue...
