approching 300rwkw in rwd is pushing it I think, but then again i haven't driven a 300rwkw rwd car....
Circuit sprints you could probably get away with your power range between 4300-8500rpm, thats over 4000rpm in your powerband which is usually enough... but motokana you may want something a bit more responsive....
Nice one James.... will need some decent camber to get the rears inside the guards.... hmmm
That blue evo with 19"s looks pretty hot - his rims dont seem to be sticking out?
That water-free wash stuff will leave swirl marks all over your car, don't use it.
Go to your local car wash, take a bucket and your sponge/chamois etc... use their water but wash it as per normal. I try to go late at night so its not busy and they won't yell at me for doing it.
hahahhaha, will i ever live that down
Yeah i saw your boss at trackside when i was getting some 2nd hand re55 since mine were showing belts and you can't get new ones atm anyway... he couldn't say enough good things about you - one of the best workers he's ever had - i had to triple check we were talking about the same guy
Giant - sorry to hear about the car, but bloody impressive that even in 4th you managed to win the 800m sprints, thats just nuts
yeah i've used DS3000 along with most of the other GTR track guys in sauvic. They chew your rotors big time when cold, so don't daily drive, but otherwise they are good. Need a bit of heat in them to get them to bite hard which may be your only issue for tarmac rally stuff compared to circuit sprints...
Go the DBA5000 if you can spend the extra few hundred, lighter and dissipate heat better (so I've been told). DS3000 pads need a bit of heat into them first, so first couple of corners they won't be up to temp...
I don't think the excedy can hold that kind of power, but i've never tried. Try Jim Berry, or Xtreme, or UAS, they all have single plate clutches that should be able to hold that power. Should be around the $1000 mark, give or take...
I think you're going to have trouble finding a nice ride and something that can stop your car diving under brakes. You need more spring rate up front to stop your car diving, adding more spring rate you're going to lose ride quality. A good shock can help reduce some of the loss of ride quality. It's a trade off - what do you want more?
ahhaha not bad driving dude. You'll find most of us do our own SAUVIC/WRX Track days, not many of us go to these open days anymore... they can get a bit crowded etc... You should come to the SAU track days.....
1.43 in a gtst on street tyres? thats pretty good!
