Supercharged Vs Turbocharged
Alkatraz replied to spartacus77's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Promising dyno results and then not providing them is almost a criminal act! ;-) Let us know how you went. -
What is it that makes you so convinced that it only has the 2 airbags?
-
^^^^^^^^^^^ BEST INVENTION EVER!!!!!! Make sure that your missus learns where that button is ;-)
-
Maybe the 350 sedans only came with the two airbags and they went to six when they became 370's
-
Driver, passanger, side and curtain airbags. Pretty sure that 6 airbags is correct.
-
I think that you are confusing 'fast' with 'smart'.
-
I might be very slow and have missed someone posting this but if not..... http://carsales.mobi/newcars/details/?R=638932 +$10k for the Coupe?

Having Fuel Capacity Sensor Problems
Alkatraz replied to itsRICHARD's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Same issue with the V36. Looks like it is something that Nissan couldn't be bothered fixing. Will be pulling my seats up tomorrow to clean the contacts, hopefully fixes the problem. -
Recommended V36 Servicing In Perth?
Alkatraz replied to WA-CVK's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Took mine to Tokyo Motorsport in Cannington (i think) a month or so ago, simply because they have worked on a few of these before and have access to the Uprev tuning software. They only changed the oil and filter so its hard to really judge their work but everything ran smoothly and they all seemed like decent guys. -

Mine work fine. Set the seat and steering wheel, press the 'Set' button, then one of the numbers. What's the problem with yours? -
Looking For A V35 Coupe Or Sedan....again!
Alkatraz replied to Ezy03's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
There's something wrong when two people who own COMPLETELY different styles of car are arguing over which one looks better! ^^^^^^^^ This looks awesome! This looks awesome! But for totally different reasons. In the end the argument is useless anyway, because......my V36 looks better than both put together ;P -

Strange. I thought that the BOSE system came standard on the SP's. The speakers on the rear parcel shelf also have 'BOSE' written across them. EDIT: Just found this....http://www.jlimports.com.au/nissan-skyline-v36-370gt-coupe "Another manufacturers option is the premium Bose audio system including a pair of three-way integrated speakers in the doors and four woofers in the doors and rear shelf" -

Do your speaker grills have small Bose emblems on them? -
Congrats on the purchase Nork. Guaranteed to get more lovin` now than you did when you were rolling in a hyundai! Probably more haters too but it'll be worth it. At such a young age you shouldn't be too worried about your knob, as long as it gets you from third to fourth its fine.

http://www.myg37.com...ger-system.html Been following this for a while, above is the thread on myg37.com about the work that they have been doing on it. I priced up their Stage 1 single SC kit and after you add local installation and tuning, auto trannie work (if required) and launch control (to make it useable) I wasn't going to get much change from $15,000. So I would imagine that something in the $18,000 - $20,000 ballpark wouldn't be unreasonable. Of course, if you had a lift and could do the install yourself you would save a BIG chunk of that. It would potentially be cheaper to ship the car to GTM, have them do the work and ship it back, as their labour rates and install/tuning time would be significantly less. This would guarantee that it was installed and tuned correctly as well.

I went with the SRI from R2C in the US. Couldn't be happier. Easy to install, black nickel looks great and it gives an awesome intake growl. Don't think that it adds any hp, not enough to notice anyway but if you want extra hp go with forced induction.

Yeah. I used Geoff at Prestige as he is based on the right side of the country and couldn't say a single bad thing. Got an awesome car, saved me a s&%t load of money with a few simple suggestions, couldn't be happier.
