  1. hey, how much extra would it be to mod it up for a nistune on an r33 gtst ?
  2. what rwkw level is the bosch 040 good upto?
  3. I think the thing thats going to kill me with these upgrades is paying the labor costs to put everything in because im generally pretty unskilled when it comes to cars and dont trust myself not to stuff it up. Ideally if i was competant i would put everything in at home and get the car towed to be tuned to save on labor costs. But ive got no idea how to put in a new clutch, injectors, fuel pump, ebc and solder the z32 afm wires or change out my turbo for a high flowed one. Not to mention itd probably be really awkward to try and do that sorta stuff on a driveway with a jack and stands rather than a hoist. But i guess if you wanna do upgrades, you got to be willing to pay what it costs...
  4. its hard to find a physio that doesnt do the token treatment these days. They will do a little bit of assessment, rub it a bit, use an ultrasound on it and then TENS machine with either hot or cold. If you can find someone that doesnt just go through the motions and do that then youll be better off. Unfortunently I cant recommend anyway in your area as im from canberra...
  5. Thatd be great.
  6. does this fit in an r33 gtst with little to no modification needed?
  7. Im pretty sure ill stay local just because it will be easier, but I will be investigating quotes in sydney as well as the $$$ may overule the easy factor.
  8. Yeh, Im completely aware of that, But i meant to make it worth while going to sydney or somewhere I would have to get everything done at once otherwise the cost of driving up and back would make it not worthwhile after a couple of trips. Whereas here i could get a few things done at intervals, like fuel pump, ebc and nistune install and tune on stock turbo. Then get it back and wait a while/ save a bit more. Then get clutch, injectors, turbo and afm done a bit later. Not to mention if I get it done here its a lot closer to take it back to someone who has worked on it and knows the car a bit.
  9. Yeh there is the possibility of going to sydney to get somewhere like CRD to install and tune it, but the only issue with sydney is i would have to get them to put in everything at the same time. Im planning on getting a hypergear r33 kai hi flow turbo, injectors (700cc or so), fuel pump (probably nismo in tank), clutch (got no idea what sort, suggestions?), ebc (profec b spec), z32 afm, 3" metal intake pipe and the nistune/z32 ecu) So to get all that done in one hit theyd need the car for a fair while not to mention how big of a hit my wallet would take in one go.
  10. double post.
  11. yeh if someone started making 3" metal intake pipes with stock connections and fitment, id be on it like a flash as well
  12. how much does an electronic boost controller install cost? I dont think im handy enough with a car to try doing it myself and i know i will struggle to try and set it up properly...
  13. Yeh $3200 installed and tuned was what ESP told me as well for the haltech. Im sure they are great, but when im only trying to get to 260rwkw at the most, it seems unnecessary and would mean i have to compromise in other places to stay within the amount im willing to spend altogether. Ive done heaps of research and was leaning towards the EMU before the negative reviews from local tuners and am now pretty much set on the nistune with the z32 ecu for my 33gtst. Mainly because it is able to do everything I want and is comparably cheaper. The only downside to it is there being really only one place that installs and tunes them, which means i would have to get all my other upgrades put on there as well. Plus autotech is ages away from my house and i havent heard anything much about the places in terms of quality of work etc...
  14. It sucks that those autobahn 88 metal induction pipes sold by performance wise have been discontinued...
  15. Did you end up getting a nistune or did you go something else? When I talked to ESP about ecu upgrades such as the EMU (Which they said isn't great) the guy I talked to pretty much said my only option was haltech, which is overkill for my needs. I think they were trying to upsell because they make slot off them.
  16. Never heard of ultimates. Where abouts are they? I'm really keen on a nistune, but if there's only one place to get them tuned here then it's probably not the best option. It's a shame ESP doesn't do them as I have heard nothing but praise for there work...
  17. Yeh, I can't hear the noise anymore at the moment.
  18. So I think the leak may have been located. When the cat was disconnected from the exhaust, the gaskets had a bit of soot on them (at both ends of the cat). New gaskets with gasket glue seems to have helped. Couldnt get the dump pipe bolts to bolt in to the back of the turbo though, no matter how many times my mate and I tried to move the pipe around from underneath and uptop to get all the hole lined up. Will be a job for the exhaust shop I think. Thanks for everyones help.
  19. so there isnt actually meant to be anything connected in there? Thats good to know, as i couldnt find anything around there that looked like it should be plugged into there.
  20. Yeh mine doesn't seem to be affecting anything that's blatantly obvious to someone who isn't very car savvy. Still would be nice to know what it is for though...
  21. i went motul 8100 10w40 for my engine oil and would recommened it.
  22. hey, Was sorting out an exhaust leak in my car today adn when i was looking around in the engine bay I noticed there is a anplugged fuse clip and i cannot find what is meant to be plugged in there. It doesnt seem to be affecting the car in any way in terms of warning lights, steering or drivability but my passenger side headlight and highbeam lights wont work (the parker does). But to my knowledge they were working when i drove home last night from work. Here is a pic of the fuse Any help would be appreciated.
  23. That's out in Hume isn't it? Has anyone had a nistune with z32 ecu installed there by any chance ?
  24. Thanks for filling me in. Do any of you know if they tune/fit emanage ultimates or nistunes with the z32 ecu for an r33 gtst?
