thread dig. Does anything need to be done/changed with the water or oil lines when putting an r34 gtt turbo into and r33 gtst? and I take it an aftermarket dump/front pipe made to r33 gtst OEM specs will still fit with the 0p6 rear housing?
-
thanks, but unless its got an 0p6 on it then ill keep looking.
-
surely some has one of these laying around?
-
As stated, looking for an 0p6 stock r34 rb25det turbo. Can have shaft play or be blown, as long as there's no cracks etc in the housings as I want it to be hi flowable. PM me what you got and price you're after.

There's a hi flowed r34 turbo in the for sale section atm
-
that r33 turbo looks crazy, what size is the inlet on it now? What are you aiming for rwkw wise with this version of hi flow?

Need A New Clutch?
Mitcho_7 replied to R31Nismoid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
anyone tried out the nismo copper mix single plate clutch? A Few people seem to be running the twin plate version, but i think it is overkill for my needs. http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/clutch/sc.html If so hows it go? Im looking for a clutch to hold about 300rwkw and the car will see pretty much only street driving so I want something that is as close to the stock clutch in feel and driveability, yet strong. -
Agree with kasko about the where to get my car serviced comment. I originally just wanted to know why Trojan wouldn't answer the phone and turns out they were on holidays, but are open again now... I have probably contributed to getting the thread off topic though.

I would have thought the profile and fitment of both bellmouth and split would be similar... What model skyline have u both got?
-
Oh ok, so you havent bought one and had it tuned yet then?
-
Where abouts did you get your nistune setup?
-
I have one on my car at the moment, and it hasn't done anything to my air con as yet I don't think. I thought there was meant to be a problem with the wastegate not being able to open/close properly on the high flowed r33 gtst turbo because of the bit of metal which splits the flow?
-
Im guessing you had a bad experience with them. Care to elaborate?
-
that is one boss looking car
-
Is running your BOV from when the car was stock an option? I still have my stock BOV and its plumbed back, but you can still hear it pretty easily through intake and pod filter etc.
-
So is it possible to get a 3" metal intake pipe with the 2 factory returns for an r33 gtst without seeing the car? I've got a return flow cooler as well, so the intercooler piping is in the factory position.

Do I Need An Electronic Boost Controller?
Mitcho_7 replied to Mitcho_7's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeh boost controllers arent that exspensive, but id still like to know if it can be done without the need for an aftermarket boost controller -
What do you guys consider an acceptable quote from a business to supply the nistune chip, mod a z32 ecu to support the nistune and then install and tune for an r33 gtst? Im guessing i would have to supply the z32 ecu so exclude that from the cost...
-
So, im looking at getting a few mods done over the next few months to get a bit more power & I want to keep the engine bay looking as stock as possible. My r33 gtst already has a full exhaust, return flow fmic and pod filter with stock snorkel feeding into the heat shield. The car also currently has the mod which allows you to flcik an in cabin switch and select 5 or 7 psi boost. I have decided on the hypergear Hi Kai high flow on my stock r33 gtst turbo, it comes with a heavy duty actuator and keeps the stock look of the turbo but allows more power. With the supporting gear (ecu, 555cc injectors, fuel pump, z32 afm etc) this will apparently get me about 270rwkw according to the dyno sheets in the hypergear thread. I want a safe sort of tune as the car is street driven regularly and i would probably only want about 17psi max boost. I have decided on a NIStune with z32 ecu upgrade. My question is, will i need to run an electronic boost controller to get the car to hold consistant boost levels or is there someway to use the nistune chip and stock boost solenoid in the r33 to hold the boost levels steady with the hypergear heavy duty actuator? And if it is possible, can it be made to run a low (14psi or so) and high boost (17psi) setting by utilising the in cabin switch i currently have? I would prefer not to have to run a boost controller of any sort for the obvious reason of lower cost involved, but also not to attract attention in the engine bay. Obviously though if its needed I will run one, but i just wanted to get peoples opinions. thanks

Completely off the current topic, but is there known compatibility issues with the r33 gtst just jap racing split front/dump pipe fitting on a hi Kai high flowed r33 gtst turbo? If so what's the issue and how can I get around it?
