  1. Exactly why I'm keen to have a go at doing mine ( with someone who has an idea about what they are doing).
  2. On a scale of 1 to 10, how good do you feel right now? 10 being, you just railed Jennifer Hawkins...
  3. Haha, you won't want anything to do with it after yours is all setup lol
  4. All i can say is, I really hope I dont have this issue with my r34 hi flow... Also, my dad was a plumber and I daresay we have a shit tonne of copper pipe cutters of various sizes in the back shed so if you get real stuck with that let me know.
  5. Do you know if there would be any guard work required for the te37s to go on an r33 gtst? I'm not to good with offsets and wheel sizes etc.
  6. I have been theough that thread and the general concensus is if you want a single plate: Jim berry full Monty or super Monty , if you want a twin plate: nismo copper mix.
  7. Yeh it is, I want to run a safe ish sort of tune to hopefully avoid premature engine death, so I'll probably run no more than about 17 psi. Going off the hypergear dyno sheets they are good for 260 kw or so but I don't know how much boost that is running. I'll be happy with 240+ though. I'll PM you my numbeR incase you are interested in having a tinker over the Easter period.
  8. I have a freshly high flowed r34 turbo sitting in a box in my bedroom at the moment, because I wanted to try and limit the changeover time as much as possible. So ill have a spare r33 turbo left over at the end. Im not ignorant enough to think that over the easter weekend I could get a turbo high flowed one day and put back on the next if thats what you were thinking...
  9. Agreed, an it will give me a chance to meet some people from the forums. Kasko, I'll PM you my number
  10. I was talking to my mate yesterday and he thinks i should try and do as much as possible over the Easter break so I have a few free days in a row that I can dedicate to working on it. I am thinking of doing the nismo fuel pump, trying the ecu to see if the car will run and maybe doing the profec b ebc on the Friday. Pulling out the turbo/stock intake on Saturday and getting the hi flow and metal intake install started. Have a break on Sunday. Then on Monday finish off the turbo install and wire up a quick swap over plug sorta thing for the z32. Then I guess see if the car will still drive with all that and if not whack in the injectors and get it towed to the tuners during the week. Is anyone going to be available to possibly help out over Easter (specifically with the turbo/ ebc/ afm soldering) ?
  11. Hope it all goes well
  12. Haha, sounds rough...
  13. How did the install go?
  14. I always thought that the ATR43 G3 was suposed to be good for around the 280+rwkw mark on 20psi for r33/r34 running PULP? Kasko, let me know how you go with you're turbo install!
  15. Completely unrelated, but myself and a carload of guys got pulled up at this same blitz on saturday morning on our way to future music festival. I was driving and passed the RBT, but thank god they didnt decide to let that little beagle sniffer dog come near the car...
  16. It seems so easy when its typed out like that, but it never works out to be as simple. I have had the dump/front pipe on and off a few times, so im ok with getting it off. Im just not confident with acually removing the turbo/water/oil lines. I also really hope i dont snap any of the turbo to manifold studs. Is spraying them with heaps of wd40 a good idea or does it tend to not help much?
  17. My turbo is just a hypergear highflowed r34 gtt turbo, so from what I have been told it should bolt up without any need for bending water lines. Having said that nothing ever works out like you plan it too...
  18. I have looked at a fair few how to guides on here and they are good, but its not the same as having someone who knows what they are doing with you that you can ask questions etc.
  19. Yeh they're nismo 555cc so they should be straight swap I think
  20. Well im going to get a shop to put the clutch in because i think thatd just be way too much hassle to try and do on stands in a driveway, plus I don't even know where to begin with doing that. I was thinking it'd be better to do the metal intake and nismo intank pump first as they are meant to be less hassle. They also won't affect the drivability of the car with no ecu tune, because the car is my daily and I don't want it off the road for ages. Then, try to do the stuff that is going to affect the drivability like turbo injectors and afm as close together as possible and get a tune done more or less ASAP.
  21. That is all good in theory and would definently be a preferable option. But to be honest im not confident enough to remove and install a turbo/injectors by myself. I would be ok with changing the afm over except the whole plug wires soldering issue...
  22. yeh, thatd be awesome. Did you put your ss1pu turbo in or did you get someone to do it for you?
  23. I'm not in any hurry so if you get your car sorted and have some spare time, I'd appreciate it.
  24. Hey, I have been stock piling aftermarket parts for a while and once my turbo arrives I'll be pretty much set to put everything in and get it tuned. The car currently has 3" turbo back exhaust (gutted cat), fmic installed which I put on. My jim berry clutch will be going in within a week or 2. I have nismo 555cc injectors, nismo intank fuel pump, z32 nistuned ecu, z32 afm, metal induction pipe (with stock returns), greddy profec b ebc and the r34 turbo is currently with stao at hypergear getting high flowed. Im not currently that great with doing work on my car, but I want to learn because i daresay this wont be the last of the mods I do and i actually enjoy working on it. Just wondering if anyone is willing to help me out with putting a few of the above items in the car before i take it to get it tuned? Im happy to pay you if needed. I know i can get it all put in at the tuners, but i wont be able to see/learn how it is all done by paying them to do it for me. I realise that if all of those things go in at once, the car will have to be towed which is fine, but even if someone is willing to help me put in the parts that wont affect the cars ability to limp to the tuners thatd be good. The nistune board should be a straight plug in from what I have been told, as i bought it from Matt at nistune and he said he had worked out a way to do all the modifications necessary inside the ecu rather than have to fiddle with the pins etc. I think he also loaded the r33 base map with the er34 afm on there for me as well. . If anyone is willing to help me out, let me know and ill be happy to remunerate you however you see fit.
  25. never heard back from you with that pic... You still got the plug or is it sold?
