  1. Even on stock suspension, I couldn't get my sedan on my ramps, but the short overhang at the front means it still doesn't scrape on most driveways. Even with 350Z springs now, it only scrapes on quite steep driveways. I just have to watch out for car park bump stops. My wife's stock J31 maxima scrapes on more driveways than my V35, yet I can get it onto my ramps easily.
  2. The Infiniti equivalent of the 250GT is a G25.
  3. Since the original skyline was a luxury 4dr sedan or wagon, The V series is probably more of a 'real skyline' than the more performance focused R series..
  4. The CVT was just an option on the sedan, you can still get a 350GT sedan with the 5sp auto, or 6sp manual
  5. I thought the rear O2 sensor was just a confirmation that the cat is actually working, so as long as you have a working cat, and the rear O2 sensors have been fitted, you shouldn't be getting a CEL. From memory, the extenders were useful for preventing a CEL if you use test pipes (no cat), as they get the O2 sensor tip out of the exhaust flow and therefore don't correctly detect the exhaust contents.
  6. Perhaps some have been put off by this - Was it just the fitment issue that made you change to Tomei headers?
  7. As Paul said, some people selling their cars don't really know what they are worth, I have seen an average 2005 coupe up for sale for about $35k less than a year ago (he was clearly dreaming), I have also seen 2003 coupes for well under $20k with around 100,000km on them. Do your research and you will get an idea of what prices are reasonable. If you want to import your own, sign up with a reputable importer, they do all the hard work for you. If I were you, I would be looking at importing a V36 350GT, the prices are quite good at the moment. the 370GT prices are still up there a bit. As for the car you mentioned, I would expect a white 2003 Manual Premium in reasonably good condition to sell for around the $20k area, assuming it is a private sale and is already registered in Aust. Maybe a little more if it is in very good condition.
  8. Slower shifts cause more wear, but manufacturers opt for slower shifts because consumer usually want smooth shifts.
  9. I have been looking for some for the sedan. but haven't had much luck. There are some leather type covers that pop up on ebay every now and then, but they want about $500 just for the fronts or rears, which is far more than I intend to spend. When I get around to it, i will have a look around on USA suppliers. G35 covers should be mostly the same..
  10. Unless it is the CVT, then you might need to import it.
  11. I think he was probably closer, since the V36 was around A$40,000 when released in 2007. Using the exchange rate at the time. http://www.motoring.com.au/reviews/2007/large-passenger/nissan/skyline/nissan-skyline-v36-coupe-5548 Of course you pay more than that to have one here with all the costs of importing.
  12. That is so dodgy.. nice find. They probably are brighter, as you now have separate circuits to power each headlight, instead of one circut powering both.
  13. if you lose vacuum in the brake booster, the pedal will feel hard and will require much more pedal force to slow down.
  14. The fog lights are intergrated into the same H4 halogen lamp as the high beam. low beam fillament is the fog lights, they are not in a separate housing. Low beam lamp is the top section of the headlight and was HID from factory, but should be swapped out with a halogen lamp during compliance.
  15. If it uses a normal halogen lamp, it won't have a ballast, at least not wired in circuit.
  16. Did you have a good look at the lamp fitting when you replaced the lamp? if there was a bad connection, it might be burnt or damaged. If the compliance workshop did a poor job of replacing the factory HIDs, that might be the cause. Are you sure you don't have fog lights?.. they are intergrated into the same section of the headlamps as the high beam.
  17. I meant the cabin filter is the same as the J31 maxima.
  18. Yes, it uses the same filter as the J31 maxima, and possibly others.
  19. You can also order them direct from the supplier on china at www.banggood.com for half the price. (Dodgy name I know)..
  20. I bought one of these a while back. It arrived quite squashed and was difficult to get it back into a suitable shape. I will probably buy one locally next time.
  21. I have been using 95 for ages without any pinging, so I would say something is wrong if it is pinging on 98.

  23. Most tie the s1and s2 from the above list together as a S1, as there wasn't much change. Mainly the introduction of the coupe.
  24. Where are you finding these pages?? The first link is to a page with a blurb on the V36, but pics of the V35. The V35 did not get the VQ35HR or VQ25HR
  25. Just had a look at the wiki page.. It has multiple errors!
