  1. The gunmetal P1 QF almost looks like a P1 II, with some P1 Racing thrown in. Still a damn nice rim in its own right, but I'd have to see it photochopped onto an R32 before I can compare it to the glorious TE37's.
  2. Hmm, also, isn't the carbon-kevlar composite less likely to fragment and shatter in the case of an accident (unlike carbon fibre-fibreglass). Which means you can drive it on the street without fear of injuring someone (severely) should you have an accident. I could be wrong, though.
  3. Most decent R32 GTS-t's go for about $8000 landed, with an extra $1000-$1500 for compliance under the 15-year rule. Then, budget at least another $1000 for a complete service and replacement of items from wear-and-tear, and then the required for insurance, registration and licensing. And keep some money handy should things 'go wrong'.
  4. Looks great; it has that nice factory look about it. Suits the car well TonyGTSt, perhaps try a shade of orange (ala orange Brembo's)?
  5. I'd recommend reading this guide, and also taking it to a good workshop with import knowledge (good things are said about C-Red and Hyperdrive). Have all the oils changed and whatnot, and check suspension bushes, as well as the compression in each cylinder.
  6. If it has some kind of glue or silicone adhesive, perhaps try soaking it in metho or such overnight? Just make sure there aren't any rubber seals on the thing, because the metho will eat them too.
  7. If you're running the stock turbo (ceramic) at 1 bar, don't expect it to last for long. When it goes, you'll most likely find the exhaust wheel in your cat-converter. So, after turning the boost down (12psi max; 10psi is stock), get a decently-sized 'cooler (not too big), a good 3" turbo-back exhaust (dump, front, cat-back), a high flow panel replacement (or, a pod and a cold-air-intake or partition), and probably some decent springs, pineapples and bushes.
  8. Excuse me? If anything, at least visit the link in my post. Have a nice day.
  9. This is truly hilarious. Black Pearl, seriously, just leave the forums. Find somewhere else to talk about 308's, imaginary SL55's and half-goat lovers; you're obviously just a forum troll who likes to flame. And it also irritates me how you give sensible people of your age a bad reputation; you're the classic 'teenage gangster' stereotype.
  10. Good choice; and good luck with your driving.
  11. Estimation? My guess is about $1500 for that Trust DD cat-back? Looks great, and suits the car too.
  12. I'm going to have to agree with you there. Unfortunately, stereotypes and prejudices work against us young people; the media amplifies it to an extent, but then again, most young people in high powered cars bring the negative attention onto themselves. The fact that they're driving a Skyline (or other such car) goes to their heads; they're out there to prove something -- either to their friends, or the guy in the Silvia or V8 next to them. The problem is, that those such people would probably find themselves in the same situations in whatever car they bought, be it an Escort or a Skyline. The Skyline just gets them to a higher speed more quickly -- given time in that Escort or whatever, they'll probably still do 160 km/h. There's just not enough sensible young people around; heck, if I had a Skyline, and hopefully I will, I'd treat it like a god. Sure, the temptation to give it an absolute belting will always be there, and it will be worse when I'm with friends. But, when it comes to the crunch (pun intended), their lives (and mine) have a higher priority over a short bit of fun.
  13. I believe the 50 hours comes in on July 1st; meaning that if you don't have your 'Phase Two' L's by that date, then you'll have to do 50 hours. Doesn't bother me though... more time driving, more experience.
  14. Predator, I was merely quoting something said at SilviaWA, and never claimed it was 100% true. Apologies if my post was taken that way. From the Prestige Motorsport mailing list.
  15. And, if so, there goes the chance of me getting an R32. Which definitely sucks hard. I think that DOTAR's is being a little stupid by disregarding email responses' and by coming to such a conclusion so quickly.
  16. Nizmo, check out The Intercooler Guy. You can get a polished Hybrid (core only) for about $630, or unpolished for $550. The kits are about $1100; but I'm sure you could get the guys to fabricate some piping, which'd probably work out to be much cheaper.
  17. Ah, ok, my mistake then. Shame on me.
  18. Nah, but I thought you were getting an R34 GT-R in 7 years time? That'd be the coolest! And yes, to agree with 13_devil, those photo's are pretty old; they're just concept images. There was another thread drifting around with the latest concept sketches; and that one looked pretty smick. Edited due to incorrect information; shame on me.
  19. Times kW by ~1.35 to get horsepower; and divide horsepower by 1.35 to get kW.
  20. I've always found it weird that, whilst the US is the source of neons, wings and all things chrome, it is called rice... And, in regards to that wing: "Why won't somebody think of the children!"
  21. Supposedly the R33 and/or R34 ATTESSA controller is able to be swapped into the R32?
  22. According to: Wheels, Nov. 2002; (as per 'Dreamworld'), the Aust. delivered (S15) 200sx has 265Nm, and MOTOR, June 2002, also quotes the same figure (265Nm). Obviously, these numbers would have been given to them by Nissan Australia, but I do remember an article in MOTOR saying how the torque in the S15 was increased a little over the S14. I'll endeavour to find the issue for arguments sake; I believe it is the one with the 200sx vs WRX vx TypeR. Also, I am merely just reporting these figures, and not siding with either omg or Sydneykid. But, I do think that omg was a little quick to judge Sydneykid; after all, no matter how hard you try, you cannot truly judge a person's character via a forum on the internet. Sydneykid has proven time and time again that he knows what he is on about. Finally (insert sound of deep breathing here), why is it that RB20's are shoehorned into S13's? My guess is that the engine is more powerful when modified (mod for mod)?
  23. She is fine, if I do say so myself. Hmm, and what was her name again? So many amazing girls, too many names to remember...
