  9. Well ive ordered a 1.3mm and 1.4mm shims havent decided which one to throw in with the stock 0.8mm shim yet.but the good news is that its on its way. The bad news is that its due arrival date is dangerously close to the sau drift weekend.ie: that week. :?
  10. a bit bad luck there. Nath, i have a detailer who can possibly detail of both our cars.. Here is her boyfriends linked username >>MILENKO<< here on sau.She said she will detail anyones car going into the autosalon at a price if she can get a permit for water use....
  11. got to agree with chris..having the whole package is great. But for a start coilovers are the way to go.at the track a whiteline handelilng pack will save you a couple of sec per lap.depending on how good of a driver you are and what tyres you use.. Also you should have the whole setup aligned properly.you dont want -3deg front right and +1 deg front left.itd be a bitch to drive on the limit and the tyres would wear unevenly.
  12. You obviously havent been to the track and raced against a ss 6.0l have you.On the straight i was getting caught up to from behind, while in 2nd gear, then overtaken while changing to 3rd gear.they have allot of straight line tourque/power.Keep in mind i drive a gtst with 185rwkw.so not the slowest. It was getting slightly caught up to arround the corners though.but the exit power wasnt enuf from my line. Though there was another gtst there that day in the form of a 32 which was on run down semis and was pretty close to race spec, bar forged internals, running a hks 2530 and it was slowly pulling away from the ss on the straights and it was better in the corners. So yeah their straight line tourque is somthing to be reconed with.. gt autosounds ls1 TT drifter. What a weapon.
  13. Is this oil any good for both the the gearbox and diff??Does it come in a red container. How much oil to fill the gearbox?i filled it once ages ago but cant remember how much i put in.
  14. Hi all i thought that i would start my own thread on shimming of the differential for skylines.in particular the R33gtst.though any input is appreciated. Could you give me some insight as to how it's performance was/is and what size shims you used.I am doing the sau drift day,am really in need of an lsd,but shimmig is the only way for me to go due to cost atm,and i only have a vauge idea on what shim size to go for.Basically all shim sizes ive been told about and their results are from nissansilvia.com.and they are all different cars IE:silvia's,180's etc.. I would rather a real world skyline point of veiw... Here is the link to my diy thread for diy:r33 gtst diff shimming
  15. nah.width doesnt worry me atm.as teh tyres will be getting eaten up,and i am not a pro at it.this will be my first outing drifting at the track..
  16. im in sydney... The best way to contact me is via pm.. I have 2 buyers for the BOV and pipe to go in peices.if that falls through then i have another buyer for the lot.and if that falls through i will contact you.
  17. has any1 gone what could be percived as being a 1.3/4way or just above a 1.5way in terms of shimming the diff. What size shimms have you used? What were it's results. I was looking at buying a diff from japland.only to realise that it would arrive to late for me to use it at the SAU NSW drift day.and i dont want to pay the large AUS prices for lsd's.So this seems like a viable medium.could be done in a day ,by myself, the cost is kept at an absolute minimum and deftinenlty bang for buck.
  18. nice.the blue lights reminds me of homebush here in sydney.
