R33 Gts25T Front Tie Rod Info Needed .
dyl33 replied to discopotato03's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah I've taken them off and tried with the ball/pin to every side and got about 1 pump worth then nothing. Weird I say. Not sure how true it is but there is apparently a little bit of assembly grease to stop rusting in them and can go a little hard and needs some heat from driving to free them up. Thoughts? Would there be any danger driving to mechanic/wheel aligner with what ever grease I did get in them -

The part is correct. part no. TE926-14 they fit fine. But having trouble getting grease in ,ive got 1-3 pumps of grease but cant get any more in and the boots havnt expended. I was going to take it for a alignment and get them to sort it out but then...my battery died. so will have to wait until tomorrow -

Should it be hard to fill new tie rod end with grease(zerk fittings). I've got 2-3 pumps of grease in there but the boot hasn't expended or anything and it won't let any more in. Is there a trick to this? Car need to be on the ground or something. I'm stumped! -

Possibly Going Back To Shock And Spring Combo
dyl33 replied to dyl33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah I've read that SK thread, definitely want monotube shocks but what options do I have with shocks? Can't find to much on the net don't really want to go to the local suspension mob. What do you think would be a suitable shock and spring combo gtsboy? ( didn't want to pest you with anymore suspension PM's lol) -
Possibly Going Back To Shock And Spring Combo
dyl33 replied to dyl33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
800$ good but I'm not really going for standard shocks unless I can't find anything else. What KYB's would you suggest? What are other similar options? The special streets? Ive only heard of them recently not a lot of info about them. -
Hello, so I've had BLITZ/BC coilovers for bit over a year not really liking the ride comfort on the street, it's not that bad on good roads but the roads I'm on are shit house and feel a coilover doesn't have the suspension travel that is needed for a street setup plus the springs are a little to hard and I'm Bit of a wuss and don't see the race track a lot. So I am looking at going back to a shock and spring set up, I know bilstein set up is awesome but when said and done it's $1500+. Is there any decent shock and spring setup for <$1100ish not looking to go retarded low just a nice legal setup for street driving with the odd drag/ track day? Also has anyone heard of KYB special for street shocks would these be bad for Australian roads? Thanks

Yeah would be silly to mod something like this. I hope you have a epic garage with ninjas to watch over it lol. Good luck with it!

Lovely car. What are your plans with it?

My switch could test fine to, i could also wiggle the gear stick while in reverse and get reverse lights going for a few seconds. Was very weird new switch fixed it. No idea if that's OP problem. Just a thought

I had a issue with the reverse light switch on the gearbox being faulty, cost about 150 bucks to fix.
