  1. Tossing up between the Drift Ghost HD and the Hero3 Silver. Ghost has better lense/quality, better battery life, access to ports (no skeleton cases), built-in screen, remote included. But will set me back around $450 + SD + extra battery + rollbar mount. Hero3 Silver does many basics that Ghost does but $100 cheaper and probably more of a market for accessories/2nd-hand gear. $320 + SD + extra battery + rollbar mount + ext. mic cant choose.
  2. any excuse to not make dinner
  3. thats farked. San Andreas was huge, plenty big. Sif compensate. I'd almost preder DLC extra map areas for incrased detail/sky ceiling/enterable buildings.

  7. the car sales low-balling time wasters have begun...
  8. Yeah you would, wouldnt you
  9. bragging? There were a few couples, and even more werent single ie. left their partner at home. Average age was like 28-29. At least 5 were over 30 which was surprising.
  10. Disagree. A lot of tours from what I hear you can sleep in a different bed every night, however you can still have fun in other ways and do heaps of stuff in a short amount of time. I went to NZ for 13 days, both islands and did a shit ton of stuff. $350 flights return (in 2010 after first earthquakes) $1500 for 13 nights quad-share. Every 2nd place we stayed at didn't have quad-share so got upgraded to twin-queen share. didnt have to book a thing other than contiki and flights. so nice not having to organise transport and accommodation. we were lucky and had a good tight-knit group (went by myself) and only one person got laid, and it was to a local lol. 40% were Aus which is apparently very rare for NZ trips. However, the contiki Europe trips are a different story. accommodation is cheap to mediocre hostels with little flexibility as far as time restraints and activities goes. If I was to go on a another tour, it would be with Intrepid for more interesting locations.
  11. If you're not on the forum much perhaps you should add yourself to the SAU Vic facebook page, as oppose to the other way around.
  12. SLOWLY working my way through Witcher 2 (good, long), Ni No Kuni ( good, Japanese, nuff said) and also Monaco on PC. Monaco is heaps of fun, awesome with friends. More videos of Rome 2: Total War are coming out and looks so good so far. May need a new PC though haha
  13. Can't find any info on the WRX forum for Sandown 25th of May. Less than 3 weeks away, thought they would be taking entries by now
  14. so is that world hunger sorted? Was thinking about joining Engineers Australia to make my CV look better and basically opening the door to international jobs (not that im gonna leave) and read one of their magazines and was like Biggest load of wank I have read since finishing tertiary education.

  17. im planning on buying a Ghost HD next week and just thinking about using a GPS Laptimer and then overlaying the info to the video... Reading through a bunch of product pages (http://www.gps-laptimer.de/Features.html, racechrono) and none say if the footage has to be recorded with the phone or if it can be merged with a mpeg or something. How does everyone else do it? Track vision is a $150 program for PC that will let you merge the info... but you still have to record the data and film it as well :|
  18. 1.1 is a bit big for turbo applications I thought. 0.8 is more common, stronger arc.
  19. -11 is 1.1mm unless it was re-gapped beaten
  20. I know what you mean Birds, but at least it's better than the usual drivel from cars guide. especially the 'ask smithy' smithy. "my car is 2yrs old and has problem X" smithy: "hmm we get a lot of letters from people with problem X. return to your dealer an see what they think" didnt know Holden ute was on springs
  21. can mark ruess drive? leaf springs add balance to the force
  22. first car was my dads old N13, mum had an N16, sister bought an N14. Test drove a couple of cars and an N15 SSS was easily the best and cheapest. The interwebz showed me what could be done with them and how to enjoy it, then I bought a heavily modified one and continued to alter. it's not an addiction... it's not like you continue to buy parts even if you can't afford it. unless you have track days or cruises planned and deadlines to meet. but at the end of the day, a car build has all the time in the world really.
  23. my rent is due 4 days before payday, so have to budget whole month. bills are usually here and there.
  24. +1 for monthly club. Considering leaving cause its shit. Drift Ghost HD - $450 extra battery - $29 Rollbar mount - $39 SDHC card 32gb - $50 hmmm starts to add up doesnt it.
