  1. But why were you trying to make them fade during bed in?
  2. Nope, they share the same pads as the USDM Murano, and the Infiniti equivalent. Heard that before! Keep in mind, that if you're going to change to another pad, you'll have to either replace or machine the rotors to get a fair comparison of the new pad. Modern pads since they banned asbestos hate working on rotors which have had a different material on them. Say what?
  3. Few sets left, one final chance today: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/384570-10-days-of-dba-madness-one-day-encore-180sx-ve-vt-gti-skyline-wrx-supra/
  4. Hey guys/girls, Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is R33 Brembo GTR day in the DBA 10 Day Madness sale! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/383743-dba-madness-day-5-23nd-november-r33-gtr-skyline/ Any questions at all just let us know! Regards, Greg
  5. Correct. Something like Project Mu SCR, or 4000 or 5000 Series DBA will last ALOT longer on aggressive pads due to their higher carbon content. RDA (and indeed street series DBA and Project Mu CRD) are just basic street trade servicing items that have just been slotted for extra performance.
  6. Hi guys, I know this is a sponsor plug, but not everyone probably finds their way to the sponsor section, and I feel this is too important not to share in the braking section! We're about to come into a large number of clearance DBA slotted and slotted/cross drilled in both single and two piece rotors ridiculously cheap (like front and rear GTR Brembo 4000 Series Slotted for $629 delivered ridiculous!)... Something that will never happen again! To top it off if you get the full vehicle set there's also half price pads available. For the full details checkout our thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/383136-10-days-of-dba-madness-the-clearance-list-youll-be-forwarding-to-your-friends/ Regards, Greg
  7. Nothing. Material is exactly the same. The old design doesn't crack provided it's had sufficient heat cycles put through it, which is exactly the same with the new T3 design, and indeed most rotors that you intend on using on the track. They've changed the design to reduce stock level requirements and prevent people being sent the wrong part (left and right are the same) and just freshen the product up...
  8. Hi mate, Not sure what you're using the car for, but assuming just end high street, then we can supply the following: DBA 4000 Series Slotted Rotors (Australian made) $198 per rotor front or rear OR RDA Slotted Rotors $299 per pair front or rear. As far as pads go, either QFM HPX (Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but low dust and rotor wear), or European made Remsa (what we supply as a trade servicing pad for high end Euro sports cars). Both are $119 for the front, and $110 for the. Any questions at all feel free to give us a bell on 1300 884 836, or checkout our section: www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/217-sau-trader-gsl-rallysport-promotions/ Regards, Greg
  9. Mainly street, but awesome brakes, I'd still go A1RM. Comp 9 will be overkill...
  10. That combination alone takes you into fairly high end track pads. Is your car a daily driver, or just a weekend car with a little street driving? Also, instead of the Motul, we actually stock the TRW GP600 Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid, exactly the same as the Motul(both rated to 312 degrees), but generally cheaper as it comes in a 1L bottle for $59, rather than having to buy 2 x 500mL in the Motul. Yep, and that's exactly the same combination as I run in the rally car, which in a typical event, we do roughly the same number of k's in competition as we do liason on public roads between stages. The Club Racers will work from dead cold, and until you get them hot (at which point they're phenomenal), you wouldn't know they're not an ordinary street pad. In theory no, but cars with opposed pistons calipers are always susceptible to noise. When being used in competition, not very. We used the same 4000 series rotors for a season and a half, and they still had good thickness left. If it's being used as street pad only, it'll go through rotors fairly quickly. Any other questions just let me know! Regards, Greg
  11. On a budget, I'd go QFM A1RM, which is a Ferodo DS2500 equivalent, and $119 per set front or rear. ie. $238 for front and rear. Or, if you want to spend a few more bucks, I'd step up to the next level of pad for the front, which is the QFM Comp 9, $179. ie. $298 for front and rear. Or, if you wanted to spend alot more upfront, for a pad that would both perform better, and last alot longer, than I'd go the Project Mu Club Racer, $350 for the front, and $325 or the rear. ie. $675 for front and rear.
  12. QFM HPX, Bendix Ultimate equivalent but low dust and rotor wear, $79 per set front or rear.
  13. Which QFMs? Just the standard street pads (Super X), or a performance pad (HPX, A1RM etc.?
  14. If you do end up deciding to just go the 4000 series, we've got 9 pairs of front slotted to suit in stock that we're doing on special at the moment, $184.80 per rotor.
  15. Kinda... Any information you find on Remsa pads in the US is irrelevant, as the US Remsa is VERY different to the European sourced Remsa that we stock. You're correct about the TRW link, Remsa is the subsidary of TRW that manufactures their friction material products. That said, TRW pads and Remsa pads are not the same pad, particularly when it comes to dust! Just like Super Cheap's Calibre Brand and Bendix GCT are not the same pad, despite both being made by FMP Group.
  16. We've got two levels of Series 2 Stagea pads on the shelf ready to go (no exchange of backing plates required...), firstly, Remsa, which are a high performance European pad that we use as a trade servicing pad for high end Euro sports cars like Porsche, Ferrari etc. To suit S2 fronts are $105 for the set. The next level up is the QFM A1RM, which is a Ferodo DS2500 equivalent pad, and more suited to a combination of both street and track. To suit Stagea are $179 for the set, and heaps in stock!
  17. GSL RallySport is clearing a huge range of DBA slotted performance and racing disc rotors at very low prices!! Order a set of pads to match, and get free shipping Australia wide! For the full listing of 5000, 4000 and street series slotted clearance performance and racing rotors, checkout: http://www.gslrallysport.com/DBA/GSL%20DBA%20Slotted%20Clearance%20Sale.pdf Only while stocks last, and some of these won't hang around! Of particular interest to SAU members would be the GTR 4000 Series fronts for only $184 each. Any questions at all, feel free to post, or give us a bell on 1300 884 836, or go to www.gslrallysport.com
  18. Not that we can find, I think your best bet is a brand called Dixcel.
  19. Pads are dead simple, I'd go Remsa in the front, which is what we supply as a trade servicing pad for high end Euro sports cars like Porsche, Ferrari etc and are rated to 650 degrees (versus 550 for something like Bendix Ultimate or QFM HPX), and QFM Super X in the rear. Remsa to suit front are $105 for the set, and Super X rears are $49.
  20. Thanks for the recommendation guys! Hi Adam, Prices on slotted rotors to suit your Evo 7: RDA Front $309 for the pair RDA Rear $329 for the pair DBA 4000 Front $231 per rotor DBA 4000 Rear $231 per rotor Project Mu CRD Front $625 for the pair Project Mu CRD Rear $449 for the pair That's the main ones, there's 2 piece rotors, but the price jumps fairly substantially... Did you need pads or fluid at all? Regards, Greg
  21. Hi mate, HPX we've phased out in favor of a better performance street pad. It's a European performance pad called Remsa, which is rated to 650 degrees (versus 550 for the HPX), whilst still being low rotor wear. Also the Remsa come with noise reducing features such as a relief groove and shamfers in the pad material, as well as a soft backing shim, all of which the HPX do not come with. We've been supplying Remsa to high performance street road cars like Porsche and Ferrari for many years, but the pricing has now become such that we're now able to expand it to most road cars. We can still order the HPX in, but there may be a delay for manufacture etc. If dust is your NUMBER 1 priority, I'd probably say order the HPX in, but if a little dust isn't a major issue, then the Remsa are definitely an all round much better pad. RDA Extreme are a very hit a miss pad. We do a bit of them, they work VERY well in D40/D51 Navara/Pathfinders, but we've tried them in other vehicles and they've been downright pathetic! TRW aren't a bad pad at all, except for being dusty as hell. We also do them, so if you decide to go that way give us a bell! Any questions feel free to give a bell on 1300 884 836. Regards, Greg
  22. Hey mate, Let me know if this helps: Front 341285 $165 each Rear 341151 $129 each Shipping to Adelaide $12 Regards, Greg
  23. The issue in question is that a very popular brand of brake rotor isn't available to suit GTST, but is available to suit GTR... Thanks for your info though, as it puts our mind to rest having told a customer or two that the scenario will work!
  24. Hi Paul, Just replied to your PM! FYI for everyone else: Regards, Greg
