as the title says i have a 97 gq patrol that i am taking to the pits shortly, the heaters work fine in it but the aircon doesn’t will i need to have it going to get it over cheers -

Hello, I am installing a rb25det on a Nissan Patrol Y60 (You australians might know it as the GQ shorty) It was the same bolting pattern as the rwd sump, my block is from a skyline GTS so its awd, it still has the RWD oil sump pattern. The problem is the oil pickup, It seems to it oil sump, but there is another place for an oil pickup on the block but the hole is filled, can I just drill the a hole on the back and put the oil pickup there ? The rd28 oil sump has the deposit on the back.

Newb intro for Patrol RB build Not sure the intro will be beneficial but hey lets see. Thinking about dropping an rb25/30 into mt rd28 gq. Instead of throwing money at the boat anchor that will probably do its head this may be a sensible way to go. Any info/links would be appreciated especially specic to the gq transplant. Thanks gents and gent-ettes

Newbie Hi all, Just joined and looking for some info on my new addition. TB48 Nissan Patrol which I'm in the process of fitting a turbo to. I'm used to tuning LS based engines with HP tuners and just getting into the realm of aftermarket ECU's. Looking forward to getting some good topics started. Cheers

Have a rb25det engine in a gq patrol currently making around 130kw, hoping to make around 180kw. Stock turbo is in need of a complete rebuild but has started to rust a bit on bolt on end, so figured I’d go for a new turbo, any ideas on what’s the one to suit, cheers.
