Those who can remember all the way back to 2005 may have memories of a dinner we had in Braddon on the Friday night.

Obviously, this was to take in the fumes etc of the 'Nats cars.

Well,it's on again this year, but there's a catch! YOU have to organise to get yourself there etc! Last year,I wound up paying about $80 out of my own pocket to meet the shortfall,so this year,E. and me will be having smaller table numbers to be more "financially manageable" on my wallet. At the mo',there's a table of 6 and a table of eight, both outside,at Da Cellini's restaurant at the roundabout,Lonsdale Street. The only SAU'er that got to me before I posted this was Amaru-his seats are catered for!

So,as time is VERY short-a public display of hands up,and I'll organise you all some seating.

Post NOW,as I'm calling them tomorrow night to confirm numbers!

Go on....whadda ya waiting for?!?

Waddaya mean the only one was Amaru? Who just sent you a text before you posted this asking you to put them down for a seat? yeah thats right! ;@p

So just to make things schwatzkopf (crystal) clear, put me down for one and if we have a spare left over then i might take that as well.

um because i have a life outside of SAU :D i know its hard to believe for some of you

hey at least i still come along i could just pike on everything because its to hard :) but noooooooooo i still come hehe

dammit leigh, why is it you always have something on, everytime we have an SAU thingy...?

;)

Someone wanna post a map (from whereis.com.au) for the location... I won't be there for dinner but might be in the area later that nite...

Hi Jayce,

Wont be coming up this year  , going to the Phillip Island Hot Rod / Nostalgia (sp?) show :nyaanyaa:. Would have been great to meet up with you all again, espically now that my car is back on the road. A whole list of mods have been added this year and i probably would have entered the SummerNats if i was to come up. Oh well, there is always next year . Have a great weekend and see ya next time.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
