A few people have been wanting this, and I found a place that sells it.

Coventry Autoparts in Geebung. Turn at the Maccas at Virginia if going along Sandgate Rd. Or follow the road past the Geebung Rail station if coming from the other direction (Gympie Rd)

Cost me $80 for two 1 litre bottles.

damn ive had this stuff sitting in my car for 5 days now and haven't got around to getting someone to change it for me.

I did the engine oil without a problem but i think changing the gearbox oil is too much for me with no equipment/knowledge.

I got it from CRD

http://www.motorsportworld.com.au/outlets/croydon/

$100 for 4L (requires 3.5L and its actually a 3.7L bottle).

$10 next day courier delivery. Pretty sure they were at/near Silverwater from memory.

Yes I had the lightweight put in my car yesterday (Tuesday). I could notice a difference immediately on the drive home (3km) and it was better again today on the drive to work (3km).

I think by this time next week it should be at its full effect (400km later).

Deffinetly worth the $110. ($25/L + $10 Postage)

Edit: The easiest way I can describe the difference is...

standard oil:

When cold its very hard with 1st <-> 2nd + 4th sometimes crunches.

When its warm (1hr of driving) things aren't too bad but 4th still crunches now and then.

Redline oil:

Cold = the same as warm with the standard oil

I'll give it afew 100 km's first before i make a final judgement.

Verrrrry impressed with the oil so far.

A few mechanics I have spoken to have warned me against using such a slippery lube, as it doesn't let the synchros engage or something like that.

Though if you synchros are already pretty shagged then I spose you can't really do more harm.

hmmm....If sounds are anything to go by then my synchros are much healthier after the redline oil. I am sure crunching into gears is not as good, me thinks.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
