I am interested to know roughly what 1/4 mile i would get out of my r33 with the following mods.

Garret T04E

40mm External Gate (with screamer) @ 18psi

ARC Intercooler

3" mandrel bend exhaust

walbro 500hp fuel pump

H/D clutch

K&N filter

nismo 550cc injectors

Z32 AFM

Power FC

I am having the injectors, FC & AFM installed next week, i pulled 214.4RWKW without those 3 items however ran stupidly lean, be interesting to see what i pull next week.

Just out of curiosity (knowing that there are variables involved) what other people have timed with approximately 250rwkw.

take it to the drags

what he said.... there are to many variables and none of us except maybe sydney kid :( are human dynos .... you will never no unless you take it down the strip yourself.

Fair enough, was just wondering what people have been getting with around 250rwkw at the strip. will post results end of next week.

hard even with a power figure.

Who knows

1) how laggy/responsive the turbo is

2) the tyres/state of the track and stuff.

3) one of the better ones - the driver :(

Lots of other variables, best to hit the track and work from there as to how close or better you might be able to get

LOL haha, too easy to mis interpret peoples comments on a computer (sorry for that) ;)

ProTek will be on the job next week and will then take it down to Calder on one of its friday night's. will keep posted.

Would like to see if my money is well spent. Knowing my luck I'll take it to the strip and fry a piston. hehe

216rwkw and I am only getting 13.4 at wsid bad wheel spin in first (not even dumping it the locker helped a bit) and 171 kph so nice top speed

265's 18's on the rear and olims suspesion so not really set up for drag stip.

so if its going to be a drag car, you might think about some suspension mods.

Without taking everthing into consideration ie. 1) how laggy/responsive the turbo is

2) the tyres/state of the track and stuff.

3) one of the better ones - the driver

Can't anyone with the same (estimated) power figures as WNA-FLY give him a rough estimate of what kind of 1/4 mile time he should be expecting... (ROUGHLY).

P.S I will be going to go down to calder next friday night might see you there.. :(

Yeah tyres are gonna be my biggest issue with loss of time (plus the fact it'll be my first time on the strip) can anyone reccomend a grippy set of tyres.?

Im running 17X9" Volks on the rears if that makes it easier for a suggestion.

thanks

Buy a cheap set of 16s and get MT drag radials!!! then you could expect somthing under the 12.5 mark with some practice!

    • Jack the back of the car up, pull that wheel off, pull that sensor out, and put a bore scope into the hole to inspect the outer casing, see if anything looks damaged before you pull the whole thing apart.
    • Ergh... So I pulled the speed sensor out again and the tip was shiny so I think it's rubbing the bearing. The bearing contains the magnets for the speed sensor so I think when the first sensor broke it damaged the magnet ring on the bearing.  This is just a Google image, but there is a hole going to the bearing. So when the tip broke off the old sensor I'm guessing it fouled the bearing... As the magnet is only protected by a plastic cover it would be easy to damage it. So I guess I'm doing a bearing again.
    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
