externally they are very different. Different guards, bodykit, wheels.

Internally, different interior, seats, trim, multifunction display, suspension, diffs, motor, etc

Do a search. They are completely different cars.

if you were to change GT-T to GT-R, what would you have to do? Externally, the front bumper is different, not sure about the guards but the rims are different. The body kit looks the same but the major difference is the front bumper?

complete description here because externally, the GT-T and GT-R are similar, the inside isn't so?

HEHEHAA... They are completely different. Front bar, side skirts, bonnet... the list goes on dude. Bar them sharing the same name 'Nissan Skyline' and sharing the same base, that's where the similarities start and stop. Everything is different. Internally, externaly, under the bonnet, under the car, mate you couldn't pick more of a contrast! GT-t is like Bruce Banner before he becomes the hulk GT-R.

You would need to change the guards. The rear guards are impossible to do, because they are one with the roof. So if you want a gtr look alike, get a gtr

you sure about that??

have a look at my site and then change ur post

everything and anything on a car is replaceable

i have seen it done, the car was in QLD i think

some people do it because they are bored

some people do it because they want the extra width in the rear for bigger tyres

some people do it for looks

either way it can be done and it has been done

if you wanna convert ur Gtt into a GTR replica looks wise you will need a shitload of parts such as

bonnet

grille

front and rear guards

front and rear bumper bars

front and rear bumper bar reinforcments

side skirts

head lights

rear wing

brakes

wheels

FMIC

and thats just for the exterior

Here are the spec differences between the two models. Note that the flares on the GTR are required due to a listed 20mm wider rear track (as well as wider tyres at all corners). Interior wise, the biggest difference would be racier seats and the data screen on the GTR.

how to convert a gtt to gtr

FOR REAL ???

well, pull every panel off the car bar the roof. find a way to replace the 'c' panels above rear wheel arches - (have fun getting the new wheel arches to blend), pull the engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, steering and internal fittings, including dash, seats, carpets and even the parcel shelf, all electrics.

basically, get down to the bare chassis.

insert some extra welds. (not 100% on this part, but heard there's a bit of extra strength)

spend approx twice to three times what it costs to buy a gtr and you may have the parts necessary to build one. but you still have to build one.

I hope you were good with meccano when you were a kid.

or,

buy a gtr

but then again, everyone needs a hobby : )

who am i to discourage quality shed time ?

enjoy.

Have to agree with the above, from what I recall the R34 GTRs were being sold by Nissan NZ for $120,000 and the GTTs for $60,000.

Perhap this might emphasize the differences between the two.

If you want a GTR look a like - it will be cheaper to buy a GTR instead but if you want GTR like performance then that is approachable in a more affordable/2wd sort of way.

complete description here because externally, the GT-T and GT-R are similar, the inside isn't so?

one letter the t and the r are u seriose whosasking any way ther are so many diffrent things its not funny

GTR

Max.power (Net), kw(PS)/rpm 280 ps (205.94 kw) / 6400 rpm

I think its more around 280kw because the 205.94 is the same as the GT-T which would mean that the extra 100cc and a whole other turbo charger that the GTR has over the GT-T would pretty much do jack all..

Instead of listing the differences between an R34 GT-t and an R34 GTR, I'll give you the similarities:

  • Ashtray
  • Glovebox
  • Cigarette Lighter
  • Window Spray Nozzles

The end.

    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
    • Car has been running great, I've put about 300km's of break in time on it. First thing that stands out with properly sealing rings is no more noticeable crankcase smell coming out of my catch can. This may seem insignificant, but the constant smell while driving around was infuriating. It's also nice to see my oil level remain stable. Two new issues have developed that I only noticed this weekend though. There's a very noticeable driveline vibration past 100kmh. I only noticed it now as I've been babying it under 100kmh in the backroads. This comes as no surprise as I'm running a one-piece shaft, and I paid zero attention to my driveshaft angle when I put everything back in. I also have a fair bit of voltage drop on hot starts. The starter audibly is forcing. No issues on cold start though. I must not have removed all the paint under my main block ground during assembly. I'll try and take care of both those issues this week once the kids are asleep.  I also received all the parts I was missing for my direct port setup. I will hopefully have pictures of that up soon. I'm hoping to get back on the dyno the week of June 30th as I'll be on vacation. I'm confident I should be able to make north of 500rwkw on pump gas and WMI. I'll go back again later this summer with E98, but I want to confirm my ethanol content sensor is working properly first. I've never seen it read anything but 11%. This makes sense for our 10% ethanol content pump gas here, but I would expect the occasional movement between fill ups.
    • 75% complete. Will now need to get a new axle with 5x114.3 hubs and then figure out how to customize some mudguards for it once the wheels are on.
    • Trailer prep is underway... Lined up the wheel to get a rough indication of how it would sit Then removed all the bits (as far as possible) and gave the frame a light sand and quick lick of paint   Then added some carpet
