brother_david
I was thinking the other day at work, since im probably going to upgrade the turbo and will probably be needing an external wastegate, wouldnt it be possible to modify the factory manifold on my R33 gtst-94 and TIG-weld a fitting for the ex. WG? I've got a MIG-welder, but ive heard that the manifold 'easily' cracks using that so ill have to look up someone around my town who can TIG it for me. Cheers! SteveL
Factory exhaust manifold is cast iron which needs special handling for welding otherwise it _will_ crack. Find a welder in your area that specialises in cast iron welding/repairs (yellow pages). R31Nismoid
Depending on what turbo, might be better to have it come of the exh housing directly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/104627-modifying-factory-exhaust-manifold/#findComment-1925878 Share on other sites
Turbine
You could try this setup for an external wastegate. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...00/ppuser/19114 If you are in Melbourne, I can put you on to the guys that welded this up for me.
