Trying to get a heap of Skylines out to Wed nite test tune 1st March-plenty of warning for all those interested. It would be good to have a heap of Skylines grudge racing out there. could meet at BP Wacol first and have a gentle drive up to willowbank and then hit the strip in force. Love to see side by side Liners going down the strip all nite

Who is keen????

I'll chuck in some C16 and have a few runs in anger.

I'll even chuck in some prizes for Skyline lite of the nite(best reaction) and most consistant(closest ET's over all runs)maybe Razo gear knob and Greddy oil cap :P

Coming from the goldcoast ud be meeting at the goodna bp.

it is located:

as u come off the logan motorway and onto the ipswich motorway its on ur left about 1k up the road. take the left ater u go up the hill and over the little bridge (train station directly opposite bp)

LOL unfortunatlly RACQ dont go to willowbank for free km;s....

I got towed from the strip 2 years ago after smashing a uni joint... I had Silver membership with 40km for free and when i called they said there are no free km's from willowbank...

So i said i was out the front of willowbank and i me and mates pushed the car out the front past the gates...

When the tow truck driver got there he laughed as we went to the extra effort to get it for free.... In the end i did get free km's but it was touch and go....

BTW ill try to be ready for it... Im waiting on some adjustable caster rods to take the rear camber in a bit before drag racing... Otherwise id wheel spin all the way to 1/8th track....

Ok special deal here....I would like to come out to the test and tune night on the 1st but my g/box is almost cactus so I need it to last until I can gather a grand or so. Is there anyone who would be willing to pick me up and drop me off and I will be able to bring out the consult and some gear. That way you will be able to record your run and later view it to see any points that need adjusting or just a general view on WOT goings on. I can also assist people in changing parts if needed or mechanical advice on the night......anyone?

BTW I live in Capalaba

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
