Well its a bit quiet and boring in here.. so i thought I'd post some random pictures of the conversion of my car as I go.. Started Sunday afternoon, so not doing too bad so far..

Before.. one still working, but slightly overheating and slow rb20 .. Lets get rid of that for the sake of it..

look! its a floating car..

So far got most of the dash apart, to get things ready to start wiring the RB25 engine loom into the body loom when the engine is in.. and also to get the old RB20 loom out.. Nice and messy.. I've done this before in the old r33, so believe it or not, it all goes back together pretty easily, as long as you remember where everything went.

Cool,

Hey where did you get that intercooler piping done in the first pic? That is a far more sensible route for the pipes than the usual setup where the cool side of the pipes run over the radiator.

Edited by JCMarshall_Law

I basically bought it from another forum member over in WA.. it's a custom job though. The only real disadvantage seems to be the heat is transferred to the engine bay a bit more, rather than just the intercooler.. but post cooler seems pretty damn cold.

Hopefully the RB25 allow me to use the same piping, or I guess its time to get some more made up... Thinking 3" may be better with some more power so will see how it goes.

car conversions are fun. good to see yours is comin along gordo

*trip down memory lane*

have fun!

anyway gordo, looks good, keep us updated mate, :D

nice james... always fun to pull the car apart and work out how the hell to put it back together afterwards. Wiring will be fun too.

Just waiting on the clutch and a few other tiny parts now to do much more on mine.. thats the crappy part of the conversion so far, just waiting on things!

Hey Gordo....

Mate went past your place on Tuesday and noticed that you had some one over with a ladder and i saw you talking out the front... I beeped and i wanted to drop in but my gf was driving her s15 and she could not wait to get to harbour town...

Sorry dude...

I will catch up with ya soon...

um.. yeah, i moved to arundel :) so you probably just confused the heck out of him.. hehe.

Well I got the clutch the other day. Going for a Cushioned Ceramic and see how that stacks up... Thats pretty much the last piece of the parts puzzle.

If anybody needs to know the number for a distributor of the Xtreme clutches on the goldcoast btw, send us a PM.

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
