Hi All,

Seeing as there have been quite a few of 'this car only' cruises lately (i.e. the GTR only cruise, and the R34 Only Cruise, etc) I have been feeling rather excluded due to me owning an R32.... hey... its not my fault it is the best skyline made to date (with the exception of maybe an R34 GTR N1 or something :geek:) and everyone else is jealous of us R32 drivers and don't want us on your cruises.... so...... i was wondering if any other fellow R32 owners were interested in having an 'R32 Only' cruise, to somewhere like the sunshine coast for a bbq lunch or something?

at this stage, just gauging interest...

Thanks

Jason

You all have Cressida envy, I can tell :(

I have a couple of mates with R32s (they haven't upgraded to an R33 yet :)), I'll let them know this might be on and see what they reckon.

If you are all so keen to meet up and feel left out by the "specific model only" cruises, then participate in the Toowoomba Cruise this Sunday.

Please view this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=109008

I am more than happy to take applications for Club Membership on Sunday.

Have a read of the FAQ section of this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=104137 and if you have any other questions, please ask me!

Regards,

Karen - SAu Qld Treasurer

But that cruise is a "members only" cruise.............

Non members can't even access the thread.....how is that any different from a model specific cruise which discriminates against other models?

I would be keen to attend but don't think I should have to pay $50 for the privelidge.

True, non members cannot access the thread, but Mud has posted a thread in the general section to let people know about it.

Club Membership is not only about "Member Only" cruises, there are other benefits to being a member. For example if you buy tyres for your car at Bob Jane's and you are a member, the discount received will be greater than your initial membership fee of $55, so it pays for itself. You don't have to be purchasing tyres for your skyline either...any tyre purchase can receive the discount :)

Woah, bit steep there ellie.

Fellas Fellas, we all own skylines and were having a big sook about these "Specific Model" cruises. I don't know why that cant happen. In the past there has been Skylines Only cruises and maybe some there have felt that it was time for a "Specific Model" cruise. So what if its GTR only, so what if it is R34 Only - why are you left out? No one said that "All other models are not welcome".

Azzura, you have blown the topic to some other level that will invite unwelcome comments from some members. No one said that you were excluded. The only smart thing you did in your Post Topic was to ask for interest in your R32 cruise. Thats all you needed to do, not have a stab at the others for having a "Specific Model" cruise.

I'm sure one day we will have a Skylines cruise again and be family again LOL. But why is there an atmosphere of envy? Have your cruise, I dont think many will mind, geebus.

Well I'll leave it to Azzura to make a cool cruise for you R32 owners =)

Hey the R32 cruise sound like a good idea! I would not feel left out because i don't have that model, i might find a freind that dose have one so I can come along and checkout the R32 model with other pple that have that specific interest.

Our Gtr cruise that we have organzied is just that, for pple with a specfic interest. As one of the main organsiers of the event I would like to appolgise for any hard feelings or offending pple. I would be more than happy to contribute to a all skyline cruise.

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
