scott, brief summary of results of intake temp tests:

Ambient temp was 17deg.

cruising at 100km/h

pod=15deg

afm=15deg

engine bay=35

cruising in surfers, around 45km/h (heat soak set in and didnt get worse)

pod=35deg

afm=37deg

engine bay=55

pulling up after cruising at 100km/h:

2 minutes to reach heat soak as shown in above (surfers cruise)

and it takes 7 minutes to get rid of it.....

idle on turbo timer:

pod=40deg

afm=45deg

engine bay=60deg

and to add to that - i had the car on boost on a hill climb and the pod temp was 17deg and the afm was 13deg. so on boost it actually cooled the afm section atleast....
