I don't, however, see the point in automatic and N/A skylines, to those people who have them, why didn't you buy a base model falcon or commodore which would have been cheaper and more powerful.

Maybe you should write a letter to Nissan asking em why they built em in the first place. I'm sure they'd love to hear your input as to why they shouldn't have made a couple of their best selling commuter cars :)

also I should add... calling an admin a "pooface" is a bad idea :(

We went out last night in my mates 32. There was five of us in the coupe and we are not the smallest guys in the world. I think I actually got turned on a bit. We took turns changing gears.

I think 4 doors ok, they are not that much heavier and I would consider a 34 4 door for my next car maybye.

Nice set of rims they look preety good with a impul kit or a 400r kit.

Pretty stupid for people to be that concerned about it really

ROFL!!!! i own a 4-door impul (genuine), would u burn that?? im not trying to be drift king or trying to be"cool" cuz i wanted a sports car and im 30 years old with a family.

at least im not one of those ppl out there with massive PERFOMACE mods such as 18" chrome rims with FULL body kits and a stupid muffler coupe's, that will really make it go faster guys! not to meantion my FULLY SICK DOOF DOFF 15" sub in that back.

"It would obviously handle like shit, look like a done up rice burner and it gives a bad name to all the sane coupe drivers!"

handle like shit did u say? have u even driven a 4-door to comment? how about ones with suspension mods?

why didnt wrx and evo's came in 2 doors instead? (except for the 22b but that was a limited edition) u dont seem to complain about them, or maybe is it that u got chop by those cars, that had MORE weight, MORE DOORS, MORE GAYNESS and not to mention with 5 ppl in the car!

grow some pups u immature idiot, there are ppl out there that want practicality not just perfomance!

:(

philta its time to sit the missus down,

tell her you are gay and you will provide for her and the kids, however you are off to cuba to find the man of your very queer dreams.

Yes you have a genuine impul, no that doesnt make you anymore straight. simply, your a gay c**t.

Just think you can get a sticker made up once you have had the talk with the missus, (IM GAY AND I LIKE MORE OPENINGS) in referance to your extra top bloke doors and your sprog bottom.

hahahahhahhahhahahhhahhhahhahahhahhahahhahah.

Kym your a legend, i love this shit! lol

what i mean was the the impul is not just another 4-door kitted to be one, im 19 and happy in a long term relationship with my gf so please, cut the gay shit, u probaly turn most gay guy straight!

if u know where gay men are (obviously u been to cuba and had a search with no luck) and ur last reply shows that u are a truly an expert in your filed of been a HOMO.

i have no stickers on my car other than the orignal r33r sticker as badging, at least i dont try to add stickers such has apexi, hks, greedy all over my car to add 300kw to my bonnet and windows such as many coupe dicks out there! (refering to ppl that just buy the stickers HOW SAD! not not actually promoting products which they recommend after a happy purchase)

and please try not to make a personal attact on me cuz ur a top bloke that swallowed ur balls so u dont have any to admit to coming out of the closet.

if u only have a pick of a camry or 4-door skyline which would u pick?

are u suggesting that if u pick the 4-door u should also be a top bloke that wil put stickers with "IM GAY AND I LIKE MORE OPENINGS"

dumbass we drive the same car with the same engine only diff is i got 2 extra door for the comfort of my passengers. i rather weight it down with 2 doors rather than ur shitty 1000hp performace stickers.

LOL :P

this pot is really heating up now.

Settle down honey I know it must be difficult for you to admit it but its for the better:)

Chill buddy, I dont mind four doors. I just love stiring people up im an Australian its in my blood!

I am pretty sure that 4 doors have some sort of granny restrictor on them. Are they diesel?

Edited by 66 skyline gt
that cool ross i was at uni and didnt have much else to do, guess it was a victory to the 4-doorers

How was that a victory ? Your post basically admitted all 4doors were homo! You got all defensive and uppity about it!

Closet 2-door-jealousy if you ask me

    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
