The Book is the GTR driver's best friend. It's full title is:

"A Million and One Excuses for GTR Drivers"

If you don't run a time you're happy with or something isn't quite right, turn to THE BOOK and all will be well with the world.

And another thing, benm could easily run a 12 in your car but it'd take 4 1/2 years of trying. :)

mwah hahahehehe....lol

My Honda buddies are really into drags, one night after a Burrows Day at Easternb Creek I deicded to hang out and watch them race, they convinced me to drag as well as I had my car, and gear on me so I thought why the hell not!!!

I was f**king nervous, night time, big crowd no idea how to launch a GT-R too.

I lined up, talked to many cool guys who all offered a lot of the same sort of advise and then after what seemed like eternity it was my turn.

Korn was blasting on the loud speakers (lol) and I heard them say "In the K&N lane is Justin Fox from Maroubra!!!" LOL that freaked me right out! The massive Monaro thing next to me was doing a massive burnout, I just chirped the wheels and went straight over the wet road onto the line up line (I got it right 1st go that was just luck!).

Tree lights went and I didn't go, waited to get revs up to 7000rpm, took my time then dropped the clutch, felt insane, revving off the rev limiter, didn't know when to shift to 2nd but then I just did, then 3rd, then 4th all a little too late as I was too excited to try to catch the car that was already a bit in front as he went off the lights straight away.

Anyways, next thing you know you're in the dark, with this other car next to you, you do a u-turn and see just how far you've gone as the crowd and lights are so far away. So cool!

Got my slip and the guys were there to greet me, they were giving me the thumbs up. I did a 1.8sec 0-60 which is meant to be pretty OK apparently and I got a 12.9sec pass from my stock R32 GT-R on stock 0.9bar boost (but I had semis from circuit work).

I parked it straight away! Way too fun and addictive to have another go. I can totally understand the attraction people have to drags now. Totally understand!!!

ALL THE BEST PRANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best thing I've read all day. Have to ask though........

When are you heading back for more?

Well Christian appears to be stoked.

He rolls up to the line, gives it a rev and drops the lunch, 5mins later he is picking up a timeslip with a 12.3 @ 110mph on it *bastard*

Was that the 1st run?? and what was his best??

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
