Well.. I've been given an offer and accepted it on the skyline. So, within the next few weeks (probably sooner), sinbad goes off to his new owner and I'm left heart broken.

I think you all know how much this car means/meant to me and how much I treated him just like my little kid. We've had a good 4 years together now but unfortunately it's time to part ways.

With an impending wedding and the purchasing of a house, I think it's time I realisticly looked at whether I really did need 200rwkw to drive to work and back.

So onward and upward as buzz lightyear would say and farewell to a much loved baby of mine! You will be sorely (and I mean SORELY) missed!

Bye bye sinbad ;)

Poor Erin... I know how you feel - I still have my very first car - a 1980 model Toyota Celica - sitting on the side of my house waiting for me to let go of it.

And I know it wouldn't be far of it, but it's certainly no 200rwkw car! ;)

Not sure yet..

Might look at an N13 SSS Pulsar or something..

What ever it is, it won't be around for long. I won't be able to handle not having a fast/nice car ;)

N13... thats like my mums shitbox one...

Very sad day Erin. That car was tops, one of the earliest R33s round the place. Whoevers buying it sure as hell got one of the best R33s going about.

Out of interest tho, how close did you get to the asking price?

Do you mind me asking where the sale came from???

Close enough to being realistic... I knew I'd never get $24k for it..

He was a tops car.. never did a bad thing. Just like a straight A student. Always did what you asked of him, never spoke back... *sniffle* Brutis was the bad one.

Sorry, N14 Pulsar. ... The rounded shape, but not new.. like 92-94 or something?

this definatly was one well looked after car. Be sad to see it go, but guess in the long run it could make way for something better.

Eventually it will... Eventually :)

Sorry to see it go Erin...

However i am proof you can own a skyline and 2 houses and an apartment...

So enough excuses time for a GTR i reckon... :D

Nah, never buy a GTR.. I've been told they are more expensive than a GTS-t to run and Sinbad was expensive enough.

I'm sure you probably get paid more than Andrew and I combined Col, I dare say that's why you own that many things. When your first starting out, it's hard.

I wish they were excuses.. I was crying at Andrew tonight asking him to tell me that I was doing the wrong thing and we shouldn't sell it.. He wouldn't agree with me.

...hope you're keepin the plates though!

Certainly am.. My next "nice" car will be turbo :D

did the fella who bought yours, was his name Ben?

Was that directed at me? If so, no.

All the more reason to be responsible and get a practical car......did I hear someone say R34 Sedan??

4 doors for all the upcoming BabyNismo boys and girls perhaps???? :worship:

BabyNismos? We gotta get through buying a house and marriage yet!! Babies come a LONG way down the track ;)

when having children get a Stag as they have more room :D . I am sad to hear about the loss (well you are getting money so the financial aspect is good), but I think that most of us know how it feels to have to sell your pide and joy. It hurts for a bit, but then it gets easier......heres for the future MSP51 :worship:

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
