steamed or fried?

steamed is good coz they soak up the soy sauce...but fried are good coz they're fried....a combination of the 2 would be ideal, but then you'd have to purchase 4 so that you didnt regret having 2 of 1 and 1 of the other...

Ahahahahaha

So True!!!

this fish n chip shop across the road from my gf's house sells souvlakis for $4! ill have to check out their dim sim price next time im in there, and maybe we can organise a group buy.

2 of the guys there have skylines too..white 32 gts4 (i think) and a s1 burgundy 33....they'll be sure to give us a good price

I went to somewhere for lunch today and dim sims were $1.20. And then on top you had to pay for a little sachel of soya sauce.

I used to get 3 dimmies with sauce for a $1 a school. When's it all going to stop!!?

Were they "normal" ones or the Sth Melb Market ones.

Sth Melb Market ones i'd pay $1.20 for as they are nearly triple the size of your average joe.

But if not, thats a RIP!!!!!

FYI - to buy the dimmies yourself costs around .30c if you go to a wholesaler, so god know what the stores pricing is like, probably even cheaper

hahaha ash.. you've got a death wish! (same with the rest of you )

I used to work across the street and my workmate used to go there all the time..

Can't find the article from the Herald but...

7 Jun 2004 "fined $30,000 for unsanitary work practices"

...pleaded guilty to failing to keep its premises in a clean and sanitary condition and failing to protect food from contamination during transport.....

PEC Pacific Holdings Pty Ltd owners Edward and Phillip Cheng pleaded guilty to 11 offences under the Food Act and for breaches of the Australian food safety standards.

YUM!

I think I read a while back that there was a plan to nationally boycott the Multinational Dimmy companies.

Emails were flying around requesting that on one scheduled day, nobody would buy them, but it never came to fruition. It was just impossible to organise, given its such an in demand commodity. What we need is the govt to cut the excise on dim sims

3 dimmies AND soy sauce for a dollar was pretty sweet andrew...

when i was at school they were 50cents a pop... and soy sauce was free too

but you know what was really cool at the canteen? Assorted lolly bags!! 50cents each and you got everything!!!...

just thinking about them makes me want to go down to bilo to get some sugar...

hahaha ash.. you've got a death wish! (same with the rest of you :))

If people get sick from food like dimmies, which are predominately cat and dog anyhow...

They just need a can of HTFU - Harden The F*ck Up :):P

Yeah it's a good start for sure, but those in the know have heard whispers that any excise cuts would be minimal and offset by an across the board retail price increase anyway. The govt are part of the whole conspiracy and happily dance to the tune of their puppet masters...the Vietnamese & Chinese dim-sim cartels!.

Sadly if you want to run with the big boys and have the best gear you'll have to pay whatever premium these leecherous cartels decide :)

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
