Maybe worth a note - but club entries need to be in by 6th June (2.5 weeks) or they cost $200 a pop.

We need 6 or more cars (each cost $100) and a bit of a think about stand design/theme. Renting a powerpoint is $60.

Maybe some PS2s with GranTurismo and all the Skylines loaded? If we can get enough consoles & TVs - set up iLink races? Just a thought.

I can arrange AV rental :)

Also - despite the uh, badness, that happened to my car - I'm still keen to enter it (as long as we secure our area). Can't be too careful these days.

ok guys

im sorry ive been a bit distracted lately and put this off for a while

im gonna get my act together

and after the show off im really motivated to get a stand up and running for the MAS

i saw the way people looked at skylines at the show off and im sure theyd be even more impressed with what sau has to offer..

i want to call a meeting for tomorrrow night .. get everyone together who wants to have their car in the stand..

we can go over ideas and pick out cars that are worth entering

i dont wanna have the task off rejecting peoples for the stand cause basically we want eye catching cars not stock as rock

so please only enter if u know ur cars got what we need for the stand

is tomorrow to early to call a meeting???

WELL IF EVERYONE COULD CONTACT ALL THE SKYLINE OWNERS THEY KNOW WITH NICE SHOWY CARS TO ATTEND

TOMORROW NIGHT WOULD BE GREAT

THE EARLIER THE BETTER

PROBABLY SOMEWHERE HALF WAY .. SAY IN THE CITY.. OR DONCASTER PANCAKE PARLOUR .. WE COULD GET THE BACK ROOM AND THERES PLENTY OF PARKING..

Although I have plans on Sunday day&night, I guess I'll try to squeeze a couple hours out of the GF time to come to this meeting.

Lets just hope it isn't a case of standing around for a couple hours chinwagging and then nothing happening from it.....

thanks leewah .. appreciated..

im gonna try get together all the info we need to know regarding the MAS

i guess if the weather is crappy

once everyone has turned up we can find a place to sit down and have a small meeting

i need to push at this so everyone gets themselves together and gets their cars ready

so theres no last minute delays

money has to be in my june

i dunno.. far as i know nobody has enough rice to go with their lines to warrant it.. i mean there are plenty of nice ones, but nothing other than the big powered ones. get BIGPSI and things to enter, i think he is still selling his line - its a good place for it.

Here is my nominations anyway:

Steve's old PHAT32 - chase down the new owner from m**r (i think it was somebody from there that bought it) and get 'em to defect..do ur stuff mz defctor

R32pwr - the 396rwkw thing (of course, but i am sure dr_drift will be trying to pull a separate BMT stand)

BIGPSI and his beasty.

Meg's Cefiro (for something different).. although u might have to get it towed there :)

Jamez GTR

Leewahs GTR

R31nismoid and his GTS-R

Possibly Jet's 33 but as long as he ****s off the mechanic's car seat covers and that giant clock on his dash :P

Maybe DJ_lethal's R33 GTS-T ..thats pretty nice.. he's got a bit of rice..gotta get that scratch fixed, blah, blah, but if u hassle his ass he'll go in..

Vickii knows some nice ricey skylines, but i think many of them will be representing other clubs, but can always ask wether they want to front our stand.

what about a representation from the 34 brigade? - namely the ylwgtr and/or the UPI gtr?

IMO a 34 GTR would not need to be riced up at all because they are fairly rare - so a good opportunity for people to actually SEE them up close :)

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
