thanks mate, they are only 255s... looking to upgrade them to 275s once they need changing. (rubber is continental)

that exhaust is a veilside stainless steel 4inch turboback, 2 mufflers, nice and quiet when cruising but still screams when shes opened up =]

Damn!

275 is fat rubber for the rears too.

I have 245 / 45 / 17R in the rears.

Thought it was a Veilside.

I think we have the same exhaust, but I think mine is only a 3.5" by measuring the out pipe on the exhaust tip.

But I will have to get my mechanic to change the stud pattern so it will fit onto my hi flow cat, as the catback has a 3 bolt stud pattern and my high flow is a 2.

Yeah I want to keep it as quiet as possible too but have a good flow.

yeah i put a highflow cat on mine since its going for roadworthy when im off my p's (7-8 months left) - will be off the car as soon as i go for the final tune

i just measured my exhaust tip now and from memory ive measured the pipe before from under the car and it was 4 inches

Ah ok!

I will measure mine again and let you know LOL!

Anything else getting done or just tuning?

Who you goto for a tune?

currently the cars got a forged bottom end, 2540s, cam work, grid ecu, the 4inch exhaust, hks pods, running 21 psi, walbro pump... but before i put it on the road ive got a hks twin entry fuel rail lined up, twin bosch pumps, 800cc injectors, fpr, hks cam gears, front mount (undecided yet), power fc dejetro, new intake pipes, hks torque split controller and afew other little things... going to see where that gets me then drive it til im sick of it.

im unsure of who i am going to tune the car with.. but i am thinking of going to see ben at racepace.

what have you done to your GTR?

^^ J - Rad,

Looks like you got some poke / wide wheels running in the rear wheels... Looks good!

Hey man!

I remeasured the Veilside exhaust out pipe again and you're right, it is 4" :)

So yeah same exhaust and has yours got the "Japlish" written on it :D

Decent setup and mods you got there, sounds like a beast!

How many kW's you chasing? As the stock GTR front mount is good for 300 - 350+ kW's, anything after that, you could go Nismo / HKS etc...

Racepace is the way to go or RE Customs / Chasers / Status whatever you want.

My car is pretty much stock as it came from Japan but with HKS pods, Splitfire coil packs (Di Bridge), Cusco suspension, had a Blitz Nur Spec cat back but is friggin loud so got the stock cat back atm till I sort the Veilside out.

Aftermarket Down and Front pipes and a hi flow cat and TE37 wheels.

I more so did rebuilding on this car, my mechanic did the rear diff / turbos (Steel Internals) new clutch / new front disk rotors.

Mostly a weekender car for me as we all know the more mods you put in the more fuel you drink ;)

haha same ones mate, used to be white painted them to match the lower lip. love the old enkie 33n1's

Ah yeah, that's right!

I thought you had white wheels...

The new colour is still looking nice too!

well with the 2540s im looking at a minimum of 350kw but thats with a fair bit of lag imo... dont mind the lag too much since i can keep it off boost ect and mine is strictly a weekend car once its on the road.

yeah on the top of the exhaust tip i have a oval stamping with some jibberish :) ive had the car for 3 years and just noticed it last summer when i was under the car taring the undertray (fussy owner)... was quite happy when i found out it was a veilside system :)

if you ever need rotors or pads shoot me a pm, my parents run a ebay business with performance car parts. we stock rda, ebc, bendix and protek... soon to be getting defi gauges in ect. talk in pm if you want mate.

probably wont amuse many SAU members lol

Looks bad as!

More pics!

Yeah awesome!

If I am searching around for parts, you'll be on the "To ask" list!

Thanks man!

    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
