dont put me down for the handbrake n gear boots then thanks. im pretty definate but pencil me in anyway.

no worries you are penciled in..

at the moment i am just getting numbers, once finished i will confirm with everyone the colour combo and any extras they want...

Awesome, hand break and door trims as well

This only gets better hey! decking out the inside of the car for this cheap is awesome! I just hope I can get the money together. Once we give the deposit how long do we have to pay the rest?

Also, sorry to waste any of your time, but for the:

Front Seats, Rear Seats, Door Trim and Handbreak what would I be looking at as a price roughly?

the rest of the payment will be due when the covers are ready for dispatch...

front seats, rear seats, door trim and hand brake = 400 + 50 + 50 + 50(postage) = $550.

i am going there tomorrow to re-negotiate as we got plenty of interest so wish me luck for more discounts...

im interested, would happily spend $400ish though, not much more.... just want seats and maybe some crinkly fabric.........

gotta decide wat colour

boy I hope so, but I wouldn't think so!

Does anyone have pics of the rear seat of a 2 door out of the car? I think I would recognise whether it is the same as the 4 door one - I have had mine out enough times!

Can someone with a 2 door measure the width of the rear seat that the top and bottom?

Put me down thanks :D Also, good on you for all your efforts in getting the discounts!

Lets hope the negotiations go well. And if they do a good job I'm sure another GB will go ahead in the future. I vote free postage!!!!!!11

ok some good news and some bad news in regards to renegotiation..

they are saying that the price is already low and they cant really go down in price much, unlkess they reduce the quality of the material which is not an option for us..

the good news however is that they have agreed to have a look at the list of what people want and may give some discounts for extras, but its not guaranteed...

i will be going in tomorrow(they were not at the factory today) and showing them our order to date and get an idea of what discounts, if any at all, they can give us...

our best weapon is numbers so keep them coming so that we can have better grounds on which to negotiate..

Does the door panel trims come with the back ones as well?

Same as what D_I_F asked.

Also, can we get seperate prices for gearboot + handbrake rather than combined price? (sorry if this has already been answered) Because some of us have automatics and don't have a gearboot but would still want handbrake.

I spoke to the trimmers last night and he said that the door trims INCLUDE the rear quarter panels.

Oh and if they can't go lower with the price y not just waive the postage?

    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
