Most of you know about the huge issues I had importing my GTR and a importation story which is best described as an absolute joke. Long of the short, the car finally arrived about 9months after payment not as described but it did have additional damage thrown in for no extra cost.

Well more than a year after I payed for the vehicle and all costs etc I get an envelope in the mail from the logistics company involved in clearing the car from customs etc.

Guess what? They forgot to bill me for additional costs (steam cleaning etc) at that stage and now more than one year later are threatening me with legal action for a invoice they havn't given to me till now!

pfft yeah riiight.

Someone kill me now and put an end to this!! No prick ever is getting a cent out of me for importing this car. Over my farkin dead body.

Hey mate, where you hiding? Who wants the money for the car now?

dunno if I can say the name but all information posted is factual - Seaway Logistics.

They set 7 days for payment and I got the letter on the seventh day. I want to see them take this one to court and tell the judge they've billed me more than one year later and demanded payment.

Sent an e-mail to a reply from one of their employee's this morning but received no reply. (i asked to speak with one of their managment)

I also copped an additional invoice from my clearance company about 3 months after the car was imported for steam cleaning. How it took 3 months to establish this is beyond me but I coughed up as it was a friend of the family who owned the clearance company. Know how you feel though. :D

hmmm that sucks. seaway were fine with me, except for the slight hold up with the car in brisbane...

after that it was all good, and the chick i dealt with in emails and on the phone was extremely friendly...must've wanted me because I had a SICK SKYLINE!!!

jesus.... does seaway ever stop f**king up?? They f**ked up my invoice but it was rectified, Since then I've recived numerous PM's from other people with similar problems not to mention what I've read on the forums!!!

IDIOTS!!

Yeah

I copped one from seaway last week demanding one for towage and stuff call Melbourne office and ask for Craig McElvaney he should be able to sort it out for you, if you explain the situation (if you can get hold of him that is) 9 months after the fact is crazy

Failing that [email protected]

haha sounds a bit suss to me ..

like a passive hit and miss rought...

I would call there bluff on it as that debt collect letter's are just fancy stationary unless the debt is in the thousand's when you would recieve proper legal documents to go argue the case.

I would tell that since its been so long, you don't believe that they had the work done. I'd pay it, but ONLY when they procide to you ORIGINAL documents to proce that the work has been done. No proof the work has been done, no need to pay.

Yeah - and get management involved too... make sure you take up LOTS of their time. Make sure they are aware that you have a problem. Managers are usually busy (believe it or not), and their time is valuable. Take the time to make your position crystal clear.

Also, find out what the law is. I doubt they would take you to court (small claims, I guess), but I'm not a lawyer. Are they allowed to bill you 1 year afterwards? I think if you called the ACCC you might be able to get some legal advice.

Keep us posted (posted, get it...)

from there own website

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
