hayden49
Yeah i was pretty cut the sunny coast thread got closed, true that some people where just talking sh*t but the mod who closed it could of at least said "keep it on topic or it will be locked". ookami
I don't want to sound like a whinger, but the section chat thread does actually help the smaller skyline communities that are out of brisbane meet up with each other. Just out of interest how many SAU QLD members are there that are out of the SE QLD? If the smaller "community threads" are allowed and members start to meet up SAU QLD could easily expand and have a signicant number of members in every major city/town in QLD, as theres no shortage of skylines up here - biggest problem is meeting them Edited July 17, 2006 by ookami Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/125443-qld-chat-threads-events-section/page/2/#findComment-2336209 Share on other sites
Ska
Yeah if I had more SAu cards I'd be handing them out left right and centre up here. There are some really nice skylines here in town, and I am sure there would be more coming! ookami
The only other car specific Group up here would be thr rocky rextc (or howver they spell it, its for WRXs) and it started from an area specific thread on a wrx forum. So i think than can be a good thing. Col-GTSX
Topic and poll are now closed. Please allow a couple of days for the team to mill over the results. Col-GTSX
OK the results are in... As you guys can see the events section has been re-instated with little fuss and the moderation team and admin are happy with its use. We are now re-introducing the area specific chat threads. However let this be crystal clear. If you are starting a chat thread you MUST copy and paste the first 2 rules to the first post. Chat thread rules 1. Obey normal forum rules 2. NO BUMPING AT ALL 3. If there are too many I will merge the threads. If i see a Gladstone thread and a rockhampton thread (ie. 100kms apart and both smallish towns) I will merge them, Please use common sence. Note: Old chat threads will remain closed.
