Hi All,

It's time for SAU VIC's first Drift for Dummies Day.

This will be held at the lovely DECA facility in Shepparton VIC.

There will be our usual convoy cruises for both the Friday night crew and early Saturday morning. Of course you can travel in your own time accordingly but it is much easier in a group, and more fun. Previously we were meeting at McMobil on the Hume Hwy but now that the bypass is open it may be more convinient for others so we are all meeting there.

as per the details, its the shell servo, in donnybrook not mcmobil in campbellfield. its easier as the shell is reachable for people that jump off the ring rd relay road. otherwise to get to the mcmobile they have to go backwards

The meet point is a SHELL service station, just after Craigieburn. This is pretty much the perminant meeting point on the HUME as you can use the new Hwy extension to bypass Campbellfield/Craigiburn and skip all the lights. This is the first servo after the merge of the old Hwy and the new Hwy.

since u pplz are gonna be going straight past the mobils here on the highway, if i come which at this stage its a 90% chance i will be to watch, i will meet you's at the nth bound mobil on the highway?

its like on the way anyway and right on the hume, i would drive up myself but i forget the way to deca and would rather cruise up with the convoy :whistling:

settle lulithi

i seem to be making sure ... u know

as people do make mistakes, but ya .. i guess paul is the only perfect person eva :

Did you read the thread? The rhetorical question there would end in the answer of most certainly not.

He stated the mobil was Previously we were meeting at McMobil on the Hume Hw

Pretty self explanitory if you ask me.

JAR is talking about the Mobil about 40-50km's into the trip up past the Shell/First meet point.

If you have a CB jar, that'd probably make it a lot easier...ie the convoy wouldnt have to stop to pick u up, but could get on the CB as we're approaching, and you'd be ready to just join on...

alternatively, i'll sms ya :whistling:

so yeah, i'll be in for the saturday morning cruise up

yeah dezz jst sms when u see a sign that says " service centre 5kms " before 2 bridges. that way i will know when to look out for skyrines approaching :D

how many maccas are on the way? seeing as how the meet point has been changed, we WILL be stopping for mcdonalds breakfast somewhere along the way :D

you'll hear them!!

my car is the loudest skyline ever

there is no maccas after campbellfield on the hume lol. not until you get to shepp.

u expect me to be out of the car sarah? are u insane. it will be minus a million. i'll be sitting in my car with climate control fully up, i wont hear shit over my zorst. lol

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
