Hi Guys,

Ive got a HKS T04E Turbo kit that im looking to sell.

They are all genuine HKS items. Not ebay knock offs.

The kit is to suit an RB25 or RB20.

The turbo is rated at 500hp and has just been rebuilt in Japan. Has not been installed on a car since rebuild. (i don't know too much about turbos so i may not have all the answers to your questions)

A.R - .56

Items included in Kit:

- HKS Cast-iron mid-mount manifold

- 45mm HKS wastegate

- 3" Dump pipe to Cat

- All oil line supplied

- Crossover pipe with BOV.

- Turbo elbow etc

Basically this is all you would need to bolt this turbo up to your car. Only thing you need to buy is some gaskets.

Asking Price: $1600 ONO

I am located in Sydney and would prefer pick up but intersate buyers welcome also.

Reason For sale: Only bought it for the sake of buying it (at a good price of course :D) and now i need the cash for a new clutch and 100k service :(

KIT HAS BEEN SOLD!

If you like to sell the wastegate only send me an e-mail and also tell me how much you are asking for.

Cheers,

EUGEN

PS Do you have any clue the spring in the wastegate for what pressure is?

Sorry mate, not willing to separate as yet. Will let you know though.

Thanks

Sorry mate too low.

The HKS TO4E's should have HKS stamped on the exhaust housing, when I say stamped they are actually raised letters on the rear of the exhaust housing.

I was told that it was a HKS turbo. I don't think the old ones had HKS imprinted on them. Either way, Garrett make HKS turbos.

Sorry, but that aint a HKS turbo. Well not a genuine Kansai made one anyways. Ive had a T04E a few years back, and it didnt look like that. Sorry, but your details must be accurate according to what you are actually selling. Still looks like a good price for what you are selling.

im not tryna ruin your sale but i think it should be accurate, although hks buy their turbos from garret they put a shit load of research/money and mods into them. thats why there worth a bucket. so i dont think its right to say its hks just because garret make hks one. or it may be a older one. i dunnp thats just my opinion, eitherway good price, gl

its an old kit dude, ive seen quite a few of these olds HKS T04e kits now, even my own, and none have had HKS stamped on them.

Great upgrades, near on a perfect kit, awesome manifold design too.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
