Could i get this VIN number checked please - 6U9000BCNR33024253.

I gave you the Australian VIN number for this car in my last post, which you advised would not be recorded as it is not a genuine Nissan VIN.

The genuine Nissan VIN is BCNR33024253, however I placed "6U9000" before it.

Hopefully it is recorded on the fast software, and it should be a 1996 R33 GTR V-Spec Midnight Purple.

Cheers!

In the FAST software there are 2 boxes; one with the code (BCNR33 in this case), and one with "serial" number (024253 in this case)

So the easy way to represent the VIN is: BCNR33-024253

Anyway here it is:

Could someone please run this VIN for me?

Also any options fitted?

BCNR33-041755

Cheers

Well the option codes are in the "Model" box on the FAST Screenshot I posted just before, in your case: GGJPRWFR33ZDA-AQ-C

additionally, if you can read Japanese here are the Model-code-to-Options conversion screens:

post-39244-1273019202_thumb.png

The top part is characters 1 through 13 and the bottom bit is 14-18

I marked the options listed in your Model code with little red lines... but most of it is Japanese Characters...

And YES the program is set to English, it just doesn't have translations for options unfortunately...

EDIT: here are my best guesses:

Character 1: Body type, (number of doors) (in this case "G" == 2 door)

Character 2-3: Engine (in this case "GJ" == RB26DETT)

Character 4: Type of drive (in this case "P" == 4WD)

Character 5: NO IDEA, but only one option

Character 6: Spec level (in this case "W" == GTR V or GTR N1)

Character 7: Transmission option (in this "F" == case 5 speed)

Character 8-10: Always "R33"

Character 11: Fuel system?? (in this case, "Z" == I'm not sure)

Character 12: NO IDEA

Character 13: NO IDEA, but only one option

Characters 14 to 18: NO IDEA sorry

hope this helps!

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
