If the nasty moderator didnt edit it, he'd get in trouble.

best to leave talk of "illegal/hoonish activities" out of the stagea section.

hence my reason for not expanding on my favourite drives - cant, not here anyway.

Now - Id LOVE to chat about the Delemer rd (called Hoeckenheim by the locals, wink wink) and the crazy rides Ive had on that on the bike, but meh, thats not going to happen................. lets just say its on a hilltop going to Victor harbor, left right left right open winding sweepers for over 15kms. Fun fun fun.

There is a great drive just out of Alice Springs, goes through the old escaprment country. I went through there in my old GTS4, it had around 210kw at the wheels, was an absolute blast. Not quite sure how fast I went as the speedo stops at 180 (it would do that in 3rd).

Cy, your avatar scares me, please change it. Open limit road btw.

Bought my S2 on the gold coast (I live in adelaide) so we stayed overnight at my parents place (brisbane) and left next morning for the drive back to adelaide.

Its a great driving trip if you like driving - my wife and i both do! We do it in 2 days, stopping overnight in a motel somewhere between dubbo and west wyalong. Its just drive,drive,drive...not the kind of trip you want to do too often but still a great experience.

That was the 3rd time we've done that trip, only this time was one-way. The other two times were in a nissan silvia lol!! 1st time was S13 SR20 n/a and 2nd time was S13 K's SR20 turbo. There was only 2 of us so not too cramped for space.

The stagea was by far the most comfortable - not surprisingly. Despite its heavier weight and being larger, it still stuck to the road like glue and took the corners very well! It was an awesome start to owning what is my best car ever.

Its a great drive, I'd love to go on another interstate driving trip sometime in the next year or so - maybe to perth next time

I quite like the national park run in NSW down towards Wollongong through Stanwell Tops where all the Hanglider's take off from, Awesome scenery when you get there and the road is nice and twisty, although I haven't taken them on with an AWD Stagea yet but I'm sure I will be even more impressed when I do.

Bad part is slow traffic on the bendy bits but the good part is overtaking that slow traffic when you have clear road and unbroken lines, oh and it does get a bit bumpy on the straight bits but if you stick to the limit it's ok. :)

My fave drive???? Anytime I drive anywhere is a favorite. Our story isn't that different from alot of you. We live in Tassie, and after deciding we couldn't live without a Stagea flew to Queensland. We almost brought your car Techo, but Motivation couldn't guarentee the compliance plates would be there by Thursday (we had to leave 1st thing Friday morning), so we brought our silver '98.

Friday morning we left my wifes parents place on the Sunshine Coast and drove and drove and drove to Gosford - my wifes sister was living there so we stayed the night. After that we took a slight detour and headed to Bathurst, some of the roads between Windsor and Bathurst are great, lots of twists and turns, although Sheri (my wife) was a little over it all by this stage - she was 32 or 33 weeks pregnant . Really wanted to do a couple of laps of Bathurst, but guess what they were running a club day or something there so we couldn't get on all the track......then on to Albury-Wodonga, I have a mate who lives there so we went out for dinner with him and had a couple of coldies at the local. Up bright and early again and on to Melbourne, drop Sheri at the airport so she can fly home - gets super sea sick- and on to the boat. What a great drive, but next time we'll do it in a couple more days........
