*shugs* could be the magnetic lines of the earth?

You coming along Chris? There are some great spots to spin out at high speeds in NSW like turn 11 at Wakefield and turn 6/7 at Eastern Creek :)

Yeah i'm working on it. Problem is Dutton sent me broke, and I don't think I will get another track day out of the de-laminated pile of rubber I have left.

turn 9, turn 11 its all just numbers when yuo can't count :(

Liz.....Kel is the champion of taking someone up the inside under brakes in the first turn....did it on her first race much to the other bloke's surprise :(

Listen to all the excuses come out as the date looms closer. My GTR blew up. My GTR doesnt have tyres.

I cant afford new tyres either, wont stop me from using my road tyres and sliding around everywhere having a ball and making plenty of noise ;)

No tyres...weak. Go and get a used set of road rubber and slap them on for $150 all round

If you buy the tyres... I'll put on the 4WD drift extravagansa. That's how broke I am right now. I had to eat baken beans the last two nights.

The rest of the office loves that new fruity aroma surounding my desk thou!

LOL...im not kidding either. Im getting lifts to Geelong because i cant afford fuel for the car, i mean i cant afford fuel as i dont have a dollar to my name. Im living off tin soup for dinner, an egg on toast for b'fast and a carrot, some lettuce and a tin of tuna for lunch....and so it has been since the Dutton weekend. LOL cant wait to get paid this weekend :)

The i have to try and get the bar sorted and the car ready for Calder...no money, no time...failing a course i paid good money to do...lol feckin cars :D

Bah HumBug to that Chris. You have a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups on 17's you can bring along so IF the set of 18's semi's do go bang you can have a back up set to play on / get home on. Tyres excuse is not on for you dude! Those Pilots are a lot better now they have been scrubbed in than they were on that 1st test you did with them. And the fronts from Dutton and the other rears are still ok too.

Looks like I'll be coming up on a test set of Toyo's so I don't think I'll be breaking any track records - but I know even on the Toyo's I'll still be faster than any of these NSW gimps. You would be too on old RE55's or the Michelins. :)

Pilot Cups are slow... Plus they are on Ferni's car ATM, because I have to re-spray his rims because we failed to look after them for him.

snowoman, getting pounded by us at a NSW track is weak. i'm thinking i might head up to PI or sandown next year and dish out a bit of whoop ass.

There's already a trip being planned.

It better be to Phillip Island. The only other reason to come to Melbourne is for DECA which is kewl.

dont you worry snowoman. PI is the top of my list outside of NSW. i'm over wakefield. EC is good. OP GP is good, but short circuit bites the pork sword.

i may be slow but i can talk the talk, and i have a hard corey seat and harness which makes me look like i mean business.

Ive heard great things about DECA

Be careful carrying it accross the border. Its pretty good as its pretty anabolic but not too androgenic...still be careful though ;)

AND, i forgot about those farkign tyres...get your ass to Sydney. You have no excuses, you are driving around on our farking race rubber...what a fark up that was ;)

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
