hahaha... I think they may be more than 1 KFC incident happening here... we were there before midnight giving them a hard time.

but yes, as everyone said, thankyou very much to all those who organised this was my first deca and taco bill outing and I had an awesome weekend!!!

but my hands still smell like coolant.

thanks to everyone that helped with my radiator, glad I could drive home at least...

Well thanks to the organisers and everyone that helped out, another fantastic event. Top Gun theme was a fantastic idea.

I had a great time as per usual, and lil blu got to get piggy backed around by the cruiser which made her feel very special and relaxed.

Highlights:

My new Dif

James thanking the new girl on the taco bill staff, but refering to her to the entire group as "The new girl with the massive cans".

My free Tequila... maybe too many Tequilas.

Getting the Yahoo bar DJ to play Danger Zone and hitting the dancefloor.

Age stealing Adams Mario toy from hungry jacks and putting it down his pants.

Age wobbling through the caravan park at 9.30am this morning in James' Heeled Cowboy Boots.

hey ya'll

another tops deca weekend. a big stack of thanks to everyone who made the day possible. hope the bbq was good, damn it was a lot of fun cooking for you lot. going out in shepparton is always a pisser of a night, the locals are so funny. good to see the purple beast in the flesh rosco. my body is in pain and im looking forward to all the photos.

Yeah active diff helps a bit. Split moves between 50:50 and 35:65. Was in "Auto" for all but one of the runs which I had locked at 35:65.

I liked the theme and CD :)

That car really was awesome. Most impressed. :)

First time deca driver....certainly wont be my last. I had a wicked time! Thanks to all organisers & people that helped out running the day!

the night was good fun too

Seeing Nige putting the guy that was in the back seat of a daewoo trying to impress the three other chicks in there with him in KFC drive-thru, back in his box......PRICELESS

      List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?

      @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand

      It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
