Hello again everyone.

Well it seems all had a good time last weekend with the social. The appreciation shown by people for the efforts of not only myself, but everyone that helped make it all worthwhile. Thanks everyone.

To keep the ball rolling on SAU South Australia, I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread for people to post up ideas on the next & subsequent future events.

These events do not have to be limited to just lunches & cruises, but can still be such simple ideas as well as say a bowling meet up or a night on the town where little planning is required. They could also be much larger events like say a beach party with games etc to keep people entertained. These are only examples so let your imagination run wild.

The idea with this is for there to be something for everyone on SAU, not all will want to attend every event & nor should they have to to be a part of the fun. So if there is something that you can think of & would really want to do post it! I want all the ideas that everyone has pop in their brain to be put on here. Don't be affraid to say it, you have nothing to loose (depending on how weird it is) by putting it up here. So fire away guys & gals. I will compile a list on this post as thing come along.

NOTE: This thread is only to post up ideas & expressions of interest in them, not to actually arrange events on. These are to be kept separate to prevent confusion & also get peoples attention when they pop up. Events do not have to be arranged by myself either, though I will likely keep doing events if people are happy for me to. If others feel that it is within their capability to do so without causing conflicts they are more than welcome to do so. SAU is for everyone

Cheers, Jared

yeah true does nissan make a 12-15person bus with a RB26DETT cause i could be the desi driver

LOL I'll be your navigator.

Im thinking a southern cruise thru plenty of twisties, down to Victor Harbor to the adventure place there, maybe, or a park - for a bbq and a chance for littlies to run around while the 'Liners bask in their glory.

However, as nice and pleasant as the above sounds - I feel some paintball is in order....... lol, maybe a few mixed teams, a cpl rounds each, whatever, but Im sure a top time had by all - just dont shoot the ladies in the face, fellas! :D

Or then there is a good gocart session, again theres a top place down Victor Harbor - and I can semi-fit in their cars too !! lol, joke, I cant.

But at least we can have fun with the route there - so many options, I love the southern hills roads.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
