i'll post pics of mine when we fit it on sunday....but its a blitz lm.

cross flow kit utilising the stock pipe route.

benefits include, no cutting of holes, no trimming of fan blades, less piping, completely legal (ie no holes cut)...

This may be a stupid question, but on rb 25's why does the cooler piping criss-cross around the engine bay, stock fair enough whatever, but when doing custom jobs why not have it of the turbo down the left side and up the right side and around to the plenum? Can still use same holes, bov is still in similar place etc???

hard to understand what exactly you're talking about...but blitz/arc cross flow kits use stock piping routes....lift the bonnet on a car with a blitz/arc cross flow kit, and it will look 100% stock. absolutely no under bonnet change

well thats gay.... i want people to see where i have spent my money, i would prefer my set-up to one that still looks 100% stock......

i like to lift teh bonnet and say "shit... that pipework is hot...."

not...."oh.... why does it still look 100% standard?" "Wheres all the chrome pipes?"

less attenion from the cops with standed piping(owns a blitz intercooler)

lol. where as id rather not cut holes in my car...and still achieve any and all performance gains....but thats just me

Guess its personal preferance really. If were the type thats inclined to throw money down on races, or you live in an area where cops love bothering people, you may want the sleeper look.

Personally, I cant decide which route to go. Im not a fan of shiny chrome - give me a neat, purposeful engine bay, that gets the job done without any unnecessary crap. If it fits and works, i couldnt care either way whether i can see my face in it or not.

That said, im a big fan of your setup, beef. looks like a quality job.

i had an arc cross flow kit on mine when i bought it (~450x280).. but the fins were quite bent on it, and it didnt fill out my front bar opening as well as a 600x300 fmic :woot:

definately good for a easy upgrade, but not cheap however..

ill post some ofmy pics up shortly..

currently i have the big U bend that passed over the radiator fan/engine, but ive got a custom forward facing plenum going in shortly, should reduce lag and heat a fair bit!

I like the fact that my engine bay looks standard when you pop the bonnet, i'd rather go fast than look good and its so much fun when you line up next to someone like yourself who would look at my car and think mmmmm i got this one in the bag and then get very embarrassed!

bent fins are to be expected on any core thats been on the car for a while....my blitz is in its box next to me, and it is absolutely 110% perfect straight out of the box. not a single damaged/bent fin in sight.

They're also tube and fin, not bar and plate

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
