Hey all,

SAU-NSW is currently looking into the viability of extending the range of merchandise offered to club members and forum members, and would like to gauge your opinions (yes, all of you – not just the club members) on what kind of goodies you’d like to see, and if you’d be willing to buy it. Whatever happens, the range will start small at first, and will complement the jackets, shirts, lanyards and caps already available. We're currently considering and researching stuff like bottle opener keyrings, keyring LED torches, multi-purpose screwdrivers (good for the glovebox), mousemats, steering wheel and/or windscreen heat shields, and maybe travel coffee mugs depending on interest. As far as clothing goes, we may even consider a few new t-shirts, including a range for the girls...

In an effort to help you all as much as possible, we’re going to aim to get the items to you at the best possible prices and best possible quality for the price, but obviously with some items we’ll need to reach a certain level of interest before we even consider a production run – hence we want serious answers here please people, as there is no point in the club paying for products to be made available only to have it backfire on us if no-one puts their money where their mouth is…

The items will now be for sale to SAU-NSW club members and forum-only members, but club members will pay less of course, so it’s yet another incentive to join if you haven’t already. This is why this thread and the poll have been posted in the general New South Wales sub-forum.

So, everyone, tell us what you'd like to see, and let's see where it takes us!

Note: Please keep non-related and off-topic chatter to a minimum here, to make it easier the Execs and Moderators, and a more pleasant experience for all.

SAU windscreen heat shields

like :

windscreen%20shield.jpg

helps stop people looking in, advert for the club, keeps heat out.

I like this idea.

What about SAU floormats in black that are an exact copy of the nismo ones but don't cost as much?

I know there is a company that can make them. But don't know the details.

Replace the "NISMO" bits with "SAU"

we got a limited edition run of these not long ago

I organised a run of SAU caps not long ago to sell on the forum (not for the clubs) to raise money for hosting etc, but it sorta died in the arse... might look into it again.

More recently been looking into some keys... will fill you in on that soon.

i was thinking a great addition to the t-shirts/jackets would be the addition of the username somewhere, either across the shoulders like the rugby/football teams or near the front pocket area or both. As i was at Calder on Sunday and was standing next to people who i knew online but it wasn't until we were introduced that we realised who each other was.

I wouldnt mind purchasing something like this as a keyring. You can engrave something on it like "SAU", "Skylines Aus"....etc...

because it's silver in colour i thought engraving something on it would look good.

you mean as in actual keys? like the nismo type?

yahuh :)

I'll fill you guys in on it once I get the sample that I've been promised in a couple of weeks.

Do you have lanyards?

Yep LOOF we have heaps of SAU Lanyards in stock, you can get them at pretty much any event.

Re stickers, there are 2 types available, 1 large on for the windscreen that says www.skylinesaustralia.com, and the other small one that says SAU and has the stoveplate taillights.

Either are $10 delivered to club members :)

We also have shirts, hats and jackets available already, see the link in my sig ;)

    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
