I came across this idea from our Victorian neighbours…

I was thinking of organising a monthly pizza night, a chance for the members of SAU living in the ACT to meet and have a good night. So far its just an idea and depending on the reaction received it could become a monthly event.

Time: Could be held on either a Friday or Saturday night, around 7ish, whichever suits most people...

Where: This will change every month, with a new pizza venue being nominated.

We can then ask the people that came to vote and find out what is Canberra’s best pizza joint!

So what do you all think?

Cheers

I'm in! always up for a get together with my crew! (you are my crew in case you didn't know).
wow Ive never been part of a "crew"

Cant believe the response from everyone, this should work out really well... Umm ok stacks of ideas, but a friday night ok with most people around 7 and Zefferellis can be the first pizza shop, date might be set at the end of this month?

Should get off my lazy ass and meet some of you people one day.

I even have my very own skyline now :bunny: hehe...

I would be up for a friday pizza thing. altho it will interrupt my usual friday night drinking but I can cope with that

damn, i have training in gungahlin friday nights until 8pm, maybe i could come late, really late... stupid south yass being so far away.
Damn that is a fair drive away but you might be able to make the cruise after, if you drive at the speed limit the whole way...

I was thinking about that too, but the solution is shift your drinking to saturday, if your really keen then just drink after...

Ok well since its Beaus birthday, I might set up the first pizza night on 27th October, say 07:30 at Zefferellis in Dickson - how does that sound? This weekend I'll repost with a proper post giving all the details and a nominal roll so I can book a table or two

Damn i gave back my ACCC pass that got me into the carpark at Transact building. Aurora you would still have yours right you can get us all in it will be empty anyways :P

Sounds good to me.

It'd be good if we could get parking out the front of Zefferelli's but in Dickson on a Friday night.... HA!

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
