Skaife Out On 1st Lap - Bathurst

If you didn't see the start of Bathurst. Skaife is out!

Appears a slipping clutch from the get go for Mark Skaife put himway back in the feild - horrors of all horrors - Jack in the JD car has slammed into the back of him and forced him into the concrete barrier on both sides of the track.

Be interesting to find out what happend during the day.

Poor Skaife!!! I was hoping he would win again this year! He looked shattered in his interview, no wonder why... You have to feel sorry for Jack Perkins, first Bathurst and he through no fault of his own, had to run a legend off the road. Sad start...

I am a one eye'd Holden supporter = I am a bad looser.

and am extremely dissapointed that Ford took the honors = Fark FORD.

It is comforting that the mighty GTR aka Godzilla won Bathurst twice before they were removed for being superior, by a long shot to the Aussie V8's of the late 80's.

Indeed, but I must admit that I do enjoy seeing a ford/holden competition only. Its so Australian, but I think that a touring car comp would be good as well, like the carrera but with say JDM/European

R.I.P Mark Porter... first fatality at Bathurst in 10 years, and even though he wasnt a big name he had been around for a long time and was a pretty good driver.

Personally it made my morning when Skaife got punted out, and it made my afternoon when Ford won the race.

It's nice to have a change once in a while.....
