Check that out and tell me what you think would look nice on a yellow r32

Was thinking some 19X8.5 Cross-5 Chrome, you reckon they'd look sweet, or too plain? Its hard to find wheels that look good on yellow

Also if i put 19X8.5's on it, with say 30 series tyres, would i be able to lower it a bit, or you think i'd have rubbing issues?

Reason i say speedy, is because i get awesome discounts from them, and only them

Thanks guys

if I had to choose one from that list, I'd go the Lite-7, but they only come in Honda/ghey sizes. The only decent looking one that's in an 8.5" that'll sit nice on a skyline is the Cheetah, Octane and the Spyder Gold. I'd personally go the Octane in a 18x8.5 as 19's and 20's look wierd on an R32 proportion wise.

Cross 5 looks silly. Too much chrome, not enough style... its a chunky rim that's trying to look sporty.

octane.jpg > cheetah-black.jpg

The cheetah's look like BBS copies... and makes em look like they're a blast from the past :(

The octane has a inner lip with bolts, makes the rim look like a more expensive 3 piece, and looks nice in black. But any black centred rim on a yellow car looks hot.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey, so i went down to beaurepaires and had a look, the octane is actually a gloss finish instead of a matt finish, which makes them look quite good. The others just sort of looked boring, or werent as good as the pics. Only problem was i was too short sighted to tell if they looked good, and my pictures came out blurry (the lebo and mauri guys i was with said they looked cool, but..)

So, ill get them, and if they look gay, i'll be reselling some 19X9/8.5 octanes, for about 1200

Thanks guys :whistling:

you know, its funny I have a yellow 32 with speedies on it, but I don't have a pic

I've got the holotype R. Mostly because they are 200 a corner in 17x8 :)

the other guys we race also have the holotype r but they painted them white...on a red and white car

yeh sorta overlooked those, there not bad looking, too bad they dont come in a 19X9 err speaking of which, will i fit 19X9 on back and 19X8.5 on front or will i have to go 19X8.5 back and 19X8 front? I will be lowering the car a lil to (too make em sit right)

    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
