Mine was in there today as well. It's having a miss on the turbo spool. Think it's the airflow meter. Did you see it?

What coilpacks, sparkplugs + gaps are you running? This is the most common cause of a miss. AFM issues are a bit harder to diagnose so if your still running stock coils with higher boost you may be blowing the spark out. If the spark plugs are old and gapped to wide the higher boost will do the same thing.

Carbon looks good cal..

Not bad for $60 right? :P

Trying to work out if I should get a r33 vspec now or wait a little longer and grab a r34 with around 90,000 kms. Lola doesn't worry me too much, I just want something suitable for track work, and street driving.

I'm well educated with turbo setup, and can do all of my own tuning and general setup...

Just not sure.

I love tuning and I'm f**king great at it so I just want to get my own project again.

Annoyed at tuning other cars and not doing my own :(

Anyone got any input? I want to import so I should start looking now, I might have it before Xmas.

It's kinda like if I want to have sex with Benny or kingy? Ben now or kingy later on? Haha.

Hey kingy, did you end up getting a final tune on the r34? How did my tune fare after you changed the clutch?

hey Jono

You wont be disapointed with buying a GTR either way 33 or 34.. i went with the 34 coz i just love the shape but on the downside they still do have a fair price tag for a good quality one.. and somewhat cheaper for an average one.

The car hasn't really gone too far since you tuned it maybe done 500km, iam taking it to bris next friday for a full go over tune and dial the cams in etc. has been a while just been flat out. Hoping to run around 1.5bar as that should still be safe, dont need to be rebuilding it in a few months time. Although i have fitted some TE's and 6 pot brembos and full Ti exhaust since then, doesnt look too bad

I think ya should pull your finger out and start lookin now for a new toy haha..

Hey Jono i would probably be a better root than Kingy, hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

If you where gonna track work a GTR then i probably wouldn't use a R34 as the electronic's and 4WD system are not as easy to trick and play around with. Although the R32 and R34 has a lot more support after market wise for aero aids etc. The R33 on the other hand are cheap as now, but they are the odd one out of the 3 and getting parts seem to be harder for some reason. Either way they are both awesome cars, it just seems the old GTR's can not cut the mustard in today's time attack scene as Evo's are heaps lighter and are a lot cheaper to build especially when they have a massive market in the U.S you can stroker kits for like 4K etc. GTR's are not cheap to setup and ,make them reliable as my R33 has costs heaps and the R32 cost a few hundred thou and i know for a fact kingy's r34 was not cheap to make. Either way lets us know what you decide and don't hesitate to ask any questions i'll try help you out as best i can.thumbsup.gif

Thanks for the comments guys, will keep all of your tips in mind.

I'd love a r33 because they're cheaper, I'd have more for mods, and wouldn't be so careful with it.

The r34 on the over hand is sexy as.

So confused.

Well, tomorrow I'm going for a lap on the nurburgring in one of the cars, they're about 200rwkw. Maybe I'll see some interesting cars on the circuit.

It's going to be a pleasure to be on the track that the Nissan GTR made the porche it's bitch.

Oh, I'm in Germany by the way. Lol. Doing 180kmph on the autobahn as I type this :P

White R33 GTR. Can be Kingy's Cars little brother haha. Will look good with some carbon fibre goodies on it, lowered, sweet mags

Midnight purple and White work well on R33 GTR's, Someone here has already done midnight purple but ;)

Yeah Midnight Purple is nice but i would never own it again it is a pain in the arse to keep clean.

Photoshoot today on the R32 hope the rain stays away, poor old paget won't no what hit them hahaha!!!!!!!!!

White is definantly easier to keep clean! just buy one jono both are amazing

Big congrats to the earls who had their 32 photoshoot today car looked amazing!

Any King87 has the go ahead from HPI next time scotty is in mackay to have a fe shots of the car taken can wait

Haha cal, I wasn't driving, f**k that. Typing on an iPhone and doing 180kmph is suicide... Lol. my posts are a bit dodgy because of the iPhone, and it's convenient autocorrect sometimes.

Dysonest, I've got no idea what you are referring to.

Attn: R33 Owners, i will be having a mass clean of my R33 GTR very soon. A lot of rare and expensive goodies will be getting sold pretty cheap as I don't need that shit for a race car, when i get some free time i'll write a lil list up.

You still havent explained what this bullshit comment is about.

For the rest of you - I saw a couple of R35 GTRs doing laps, not that quick though as it rained a little.

Oh, and I saw a supra. It was moving very slowly past us. Slower than all the cars on the track. Oh, and I should add, it was on the back of a tow truck. ahaha.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
