I'm gonna run the Link in the 33. They have an awesome after-sales customer service.

Time Attack? Where are you going to do that, Benni? Always wanted to have a go at it

.. But my turbo is too big for it.

At least they are looking after you, Cal. You gotta send back the damaged one?

Gonna go to QR and Eastern Creek once I get my new Tow Car and buy a trailer.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that we're having dinners each Wednesday for the next few weeks to discuss what people want the club to be for next year.

I know it's a hike for you guys, but you're most welcome to come and have a chat about what you guys want in a car club. I'll post up next weeks Dinner details once we have it sorted.

This is what I was planning Ben as I am not really into drifting. Just got to find that perfect GTR and strap those turbos on :)

Thanks for the invite, Sabbai... But I'm gonna have to pass on it. Just that little bit too difficult for me... And the fact my fiance will beat me. :(

Yeah. I had the same idea for Time Attack. I was only going to do the Lakeside/QR courses... But I started buying too big of everything. Now all I can do is Drag and Track Days/Powercruise. Haha. FML.

well I think that just sold me on a earls thermostatic oil cooler core.

helloooooo cost price

Also, the coil charge issue on haltech's, still a problem on the Platinum Pro plugins?

Also, Dan... Any idea if the 34 GTR cas is better than the 32-33 GTR items?

As far as i know to swap over to it would require switching 2 pins or so over either at the cas plug or ecu

Or does it still have the jumping wavelength at high rpm?

Rob :P

You couldnt punch anything unless it were a 'donut'

No idea, I have avoided Haltech like the plague after the issue they had with the E11v2 dropping the tune, and Haltech refusing to fix it.

Return the ECU with a hole drilled in it? No thanks. That's just shitty after sales service.

The E's werent that great and had their share of issues as you're aware

The new platinum range bith sport and pro are getting some awesome results and coverage on a whole host of cars.

Plus pretty sure software is much nicer now! (unless youve seen it)

For direct plugin ecu's with no loom extensions etc, link (vipec) and haltech are leading the charge.

And with the latest update haltech plat pro for gtr's etc is able to do fuel composition correction with the sensor wired.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
